Aha, there is a method to my madness you see.

It creates something of a sense of urgency with bidders. As the price climbs towards the reserve, people will have to decide whether to just pull the trigger and use the Buy It Now. Because once it hits reserve, they may lose out on the auction due to sniping. And considering most of these items are quite rare and seldom if ever appear, the threat of losing the auction becomes too great.

Knowing what the reserve is will also put everyone on the same page in terms of floor. And once a reserve is met you aren't charged for the reserve fee. And rather than simply start the auction at that price, it creates more interest in revisiting the auction to see current status. Of course, starting the auction at $400 costs the seller a lot.

darn!

I was out bid..

BTW, you might want to stress the quality of your product as opposed to others.

Have you decided if you'll have a table to California Extreme?

really

Well, I already bought a super gun from him.

Not sure I'd refer to him in that manner however.

yup

Will be there.

Originally we were planning to catch some shows at the Oakland museum first.

Might not go to those shows due to concert the next day (don't want to get too burnt out).

But, yes will make it over on the 8th. Want to catch you before you leave.

I need to force you to play the Jaguar...

See you then!

what's this? A game meet with Dean and I'm not invited? :crying:
Not a gaming session, just a "here's your supergun and faulty 6-slot" session.
