All right, if anyone knows anything about this, help would be much appreciated.

This morning I used my PSP and it was working fine. It still works fine with the exception of the sound..

I went to use it this afternoon and it was making a clicking sound during loads. Occasionaly it makes a sound a little louder than that. I don't know how to describe it other than it all sounds like a springing noise. It only occurs when the UMD is loading something. I checked with 2 games to make sure it wasn't just the one game.

I have a 1 year warranty with EB. So should I just return it and get another system or is it something that just happens with the PSP?

Having owned different PSPs, I've never experienced the situation you described above.

So yeah, get it replaced.

This probably isn't it, but it never hurts to check. The plastic cases on the umd games can become broken easily. (the clear plastic separates from the white plastic often). This has caused noises when I've played games I own that have this problem. Take a quick look. Well, that's about all I can add.

Good luck.

I just went back to the EB and got a new system.

Thank god I purchased the warrantee with this.

Took 3 minutes to give them the malfunctioning PSP and to receive a brand new one.

Only time I ever bought a warrantee for a video game system and thankfully it was the right time to.

yea, i'd always recommend getting a warranty for any sony system.

Why?

Cause Sony shit is designed to break. I've gone and repaired sooo many PS2's for my friends. My Sony VGA monitor for my computer broke too (and appearently every one within that model type broke). and let's not forget about the laser problem in the first model types of all the new PSTwos. You gotta be careful with them, ESPECIALLY with game systems.
