So I got myself a cab and am looking for some good jamma/mvs games to play in them. Im looking stuff to play with friends, so fighting is a no go. All my friends will not play fighting games with me.

Any suggestions on some good games that are jamma based. I have a mvs board as well. Cheaper the better aswell!

Any input is great!!

Thanks
Darren

Hey, I love your game room on your web site; very nice indeed.

I take it you are a PIG / KMFDM guy, heh?

Hahah thanks man.

More of a Pig fan, long back story with KMFDM whose drama might be in my journal.

Personally, I have been a huge fan of KMFDM since I saw them on Ministry's Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste tour. PIG has had a lot of ups and downs in his career, in my view. He certainly has a grand sound, and I love his work with Sow and the Sinsation record he put out on Nothing a few years back. His latest work left a lot to be desired, this PigMartyr project was not my bag.

If they'll do beatemups, any or all of Final Fight, The Simpsons, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are good.

Bloxeed and Block Out are good variations on the Tetris theme.

As for MVS non-fighters, Blazing Star, any Metal Slug, Puzzle Bobble, and League Bowling are all good games with 2-player modes.

I've been listening to KMFDM and Pig for almost 10 years now. You saw them in '90? Thats pretty cool, would of like to see that as I am only a fan of there 80's and early 90's music. I like pig more for the variety, however recently (since '99) he has been in a slum and his music isn't what its used to be.

Oh well. I still listen to pig and some old KMFDM every now and then. However KMFDM threatened to sue me over a bunch of miniscule things so I don't really support Sascha any more. Havn't really been a fan of there music since the initial break up though, so no biggie.

Thanks man!! I'll deffinitly check out the final fight games as well as the tetris style games. As those have a place in my heart as well.

Try the beat 'em ups from the expensive ones Simpsons, TMNT, Sunset Riders etc...($150-$350 ebay prices) to the cheaper games like Double Dragon, Bad Dudes, etc... (about $30-$100). I got lucky on some of my boards. I only paid $50 for my brother's TMNT (way before the new show aired) but my copy costed me $80. Good luck trying to find a Simpsons for cheap. I'm still trying to find one for under $200. If you have deep pockets then find awesome games should be no problems.

You can also pick up a Sega ST-V board for cheap (about $80 for the motherboard)and for the common games about $20ea to about the average cost of $50-$100+ for uncommon games. Most of my Shmups and fighter cost me around $80-$120. The rare game are abou $150+.

Becareful of early Capcom and Sega board because of the sucide batteries.

I got sunset riders coming in about week which I am pumped for!

I got magical drop 2 & 3 which are great. I my 9 year old brother go back and forth beating each others high scores at that game. Sad, i know but he plays a lot of games.

I plan on getting neo turf masters soon, how about NBA jam though. Isn't that one of those games that need an extra pcb for sound? Or is it just one board?

As for the Sega ST-V board is it just plug n' play in any jamma harness? I can just hook that bad boy up to my candy cab? How many buttons to most the games use, as I only have 4 for each player.

LMK and more input the better.

Yea, NBA Jam has a sound pot needed for sound.

Why not try to get your hands on Cowboys of Moo Mesa if you are a Sunset Riders fan?

ST-V is jamma but if you want to play a game with six buttons, you need an extra kick harness (fighting games etc...). MOST game are just 3 buttons setup
