Southtown Homebrew is GO! CMVS WINNER ANNOUNCED!
Okay, after much work involving myself, dubdubdub, and neoCEPH (along with many local warlocks and palmreaders), we bring you Southtown Homebrew. It is a site geared toward the Neo and how to make your life better in general (buy purchasing neo related stuff, of course). Without further delay, here is a direct link:
Southtown Homebrew Specialists
Our main focus right now is Shock Box insert printing. We have been printing plenty of inserts already and the quality can't be matched. We have printed for a few member here already, unofficially, and everyone has been very pleased with the results. They are $3 each, so you can say goodbye to Kinkos! Here, for a very fair price you can get quality inserts printed by people who actually care. No more repeated trips to the print shop because they messed up again. You will get what you expect and the inserts will make your MVS collection look spectacular.
Along with Shock Box inserts, we are also printing Atomiswave and PGM inserts. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! We are also selling the actual Shock Boxes. Now everybody has a simple one-stop-shop for your Neo collecting needs. They are priced at $8.50, so as far as we know, that is the best price anywhere (aside from private sellers and possible auctions). In additon to that, we are selling Jeff Kurtz's Neobitz RGB-to-NTSC convertors. We have the Neobitz-S DIY kits available and are getting the pre assembled and the regular Neobitz boards soon. We also have a CMVS for sale too. There will be more in the future as well.
We have more big plans for the future as well, but we are all exhausted from getting this much done. Once we are up and running, you should see new products and info on a regular basis.
Okay, now that that is all covered, on to the juicy stuff! To celebrate the launch of our site, we are giving away a consolized MVS unit. This unit was made by myself as a prototype for our site. There may be more like this one in the future for sale. It is all souped up and ready for some stellar NeoJams! This baby has it all —full Neobitz video outputs, standard AES controllers ports, UniBIOS 2.2, freeplay toggle, etc. And best of all, it is TINY. It isn't much bigger than the MVS carts themselves! Well, as they say, a pic is worth a thousand...
To enter the contest, simply purchase from our site. For every purchase your name will be entered once (not each time you purchase, but for EVERY item). So if you purchase 5 inserts at 2 different times, or 10 at once, your name will be entered 10 times. This will go on for 1 month and a winner will be drawn on June 11th. We will post a big video of all the name drawing action. It will be a blast.
I must conclude by saying this was all done for, and possible because of the grand genius of the Neo•Geo as well as the wonderful NeoCommunity here and elsewhere. We all love the Neo and can only hope to improve its status in peoples hearts. If you make any homebrew Neo stuff, let us know and we'll be glad to work with you to get it on our site. LONG LIVE NEO•GEO!
