Hey guys, I was wondering what the going rate for a US KOF 96. Is the price in the guide accurate for this game?. I also searched ebay and no US ones have sold in a while.

Thanks

The last one I saw on ebay was in pretty rough shape and it was at 99 dollars. The price guide seems high, however you must keep in mind that a large part of the ending price of auctions is based on the parties involved.

If you are willing to be patient, I am sure you'll be able to get a copy for less than 180. Also I would ask on this forum as alot of people are more likely to sell on these boards than take their chances with the FUNSTARS on ebay.

I'm not sure if you are set on getting a US copy but Jap copies can be had for much cheaper.

I have mine for about 150 $ without shippings here in france. It was not mint not even near mint but I had enought to wait seeing it nowhere.
The good price to pay would be 180 shipped in for a mint copy but the last I saw ended at more than 200 without shippmentnt

So :emb:

I saw a pretty good conidition one end on UK eBay for just over £45 pounds.. I think it must of gone un-noticed or something since usually they do fetch one of the more higher prices for any kof.

Olly.

Edit: Heres the link US King of Fighters '96

Mine I bought in good condition 3 years ago from GamersAbyss for $105 but it's not mint.

I've had it once before as I ordered a new one in '97 from Game Dude (thinking I would receive a JPN copy. At the time, I thought SNK stopped releasing US copies) and was surprised to see a US version arrive in the mail. Of course, I paid a little over $400 CDN for it at the time.

Only Neo game I ever bought brand new.

If you see a decent gamers copy, complete, for about $100 I'd snag it and wait until a mint one comes up at a good price. You could easily flip the gamer's copy afterwards for what you paid.

PS..are you looking to sell a KOF96 us or are you looking to buy one???question for the member that started this.

Did you buy a mint KOF96 for $500.00? That's extreme if you did. Usually I see mint ones sell for $200.00.

Wow, the Neo world is a small one.

Yeah, the game is complete but obviously gamer's condition and I'm happy with it. I did put a better snaplock for it though.

LOL my Mistake.
I got it for $100.
Back then in 2001 you were able to get good deals on games.
Even US Slug was about 1000 and Jap was 600

Why is it that the only KOF '96 carts that show up for sale are beat up? I can never find one that isn't beat all to hell. Other carts in the series are easy to find in mint condition.

I won that auction for the KOF'96 TrueTrials mentioned. It had to have slipped under the radar, cuz the game is in excellent shape overall, and I got it for less that a $100:D

What is it about '96 that makes it so expensive? I mean you can get a US '98 for about $180 can't you? Was it just a low production run?

Naw I was just wondering since in the price guide its the only US KOF thats considered R(rare), and 2000 doesnt count.
