Aero Fighters 2 is short, while Ghost Pilots is one of the longer games out there for Neo Geo. Aero Fighters is short because the stages are about as short as shooter stages get. I mean, they are really short. Aero Fighters 2 is still a unique game though. Ghost Pilots feels more old school. The length is accomplished by repeating a lot of the same enemies and BGM throughout the game. Ghost Pilots has a really nice gradual challenge curve compared to a lot of arcade games. Personally, I prefer Ghost Pilots by a pretty wide margin, but I seem to be somewhat of a minority.

Aero Fighters 2 ABSOLUTLY no question! It plays way better and looks way better. Ghost Pilots plays kindof like 1942, only worse.

If price wasn't a factor, I'd say Aero Fighters 2 all the way. I prefer that over Aero Fighters 3, and certainly over Ghost Pilots. I'd say if you're on a budget though, Ghost Pilots wouldn't be a bad choice. Stages can be a little bland at times, but it's fun to play. :)

Ghost Pilots is trash, hands-down the worst shooter on the Neo. So your decision should be an easy choice.

Without a doubt Aerofighters 2 is the better buy.

I found Ghost pilots to be a huge disappointment even though it was cheap. The plane just moves so slow across the screen you'll be pulling your hair out, which is frustrating when your trying to gun someone down. Even the power ups are lame and the smart bombs seem to do no damage at all.

Besides, AF2 has Spanky the worlds first dolphin fighter pilot.

Aero Fighters 2 requires the use of a pneumatic forearm though. Be prepared to get RSI playing it.

I like them both. If you want something a little more modern, get AF2 first.

Ghost Pilots isn't that shabby, a bit repetitive but if you like the 1942-ish theme, the long levels (and the frustrating power-down after you've lost a plane) will keep you busy for a while.

Another downer for Ghost Pilots is that your ship is huge. Makes it that much harder to dodge stuff.
