I may be totally off with that title but I have never seen anything like this before - a Neo Geo HAS system on ebay item # 8282764848

I actually think this is a really cool item and have never seen anything like it, just wish his description was better.

Personally I would love to own something like that, although a black case would be preferable - anyone out there who can do it let me know.

I'll be interested to see what price it fetches

Ain't that just a MV-1C inside a AES shell?
That color is ugly though...

Very nice, however I think it would look a lot better if it weren't painted. :(

That's a cool mod...even if the color sucks. I hope they didn't kill a working AES to make that. Overall, a clean mod. However, I'd like to see the original on/off switch on the front rather than the one they replaced it with. I certainly wouldn't mind having it in my collection.

hello guys,

i'm not a fool :)

the aes shell was from a not workin system, and she's poor...

next time i will do a same , but with original good aes shell,

this one is better in silver than his original scuffed and faded look...

i know that every neo fans (me too!) prefer keeping original design, but this aes have now a next life!!!

for my next mod like that, i will try to keep the original power buton,
but this is not quite easy because aes original power is "mono"
and consolization project needs a 2 way buton(5v + 12v)
if anyone got a good idea, let me know!

otherwise, i can for the next, doing the same with the jack port for headphones, and his volume controle. this is normally possible to do.

only thing not possible is the memory card reader...

you think it's better with "free play" enabled inside, or with a credit buton added?

i'm waitin for knowing what you thinkin, guys!!!

Everything looks good to me except the whole home arcade system on the front and the coin, I would remove that stuff next time and just put a neo geo logo or something.

That's a beautiful system. I love the silver paint job on it.

As for the credit idea...can you not make the select button work as a coin button?

Good Job! Thats a really nice looking system. The silver paint looks cool. I'm not a big fan of the coin button, but it does the trick. If you keep making and selling these I might buy one some day, as for right now though, its a bit out of my price range.

If you need to paint a messed up shell in the future, how about red and white diagonal stripes that meet in a V in the middle, arcade style. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work, and good luck with your auction.

Never seen a mod like that before. Closest thing to it was the Neo Genesis.

Great fucking job, Jago! The only thing that I don't like is the lettering on the top. A Neo logo or something else would have been nice. Otherwise great work and good luck on your auction!

norton9478 posted one like that here:

I think this kind of mod is kind of dumb as long as there's no way to get memory card support and you can tell the control slots are all messed up. It's just a second-rate AES that takes MVS carts. You'd be much better off with a consolized 2-slot, because that way you don't have to sacrifice. The headphone jack and the memory card slot are hard to come by in the MVS world, making the 2-slot extra valuable, and the AES seem all the more impressive.

Impress me and figure out a way to just change the cart slot type on the AES board. It's impossible.
