yes the serial number is 00220 on the u.s. home gold system i have and was wondering if it increases the value at all? it is in absolute mint condition with memory card, art of fighting 2, two joysticks, origional box, origional owner's manual, one joystick still completely untouched, rf unit and av cords?

No offense poseur, but you shouldn't be spamming with separate posts. You were asking about the value in that other thread already, if you want people to know about the value of the home console serial, just edit the topic, you can do that.

why do you want to know the price for it so bad?

don't you already have it for sale on ebay?

Dude,no need to provide proof but if I were you I would make up a price and sell it outright because I don't believe that your eBay auction will be very successful in you trying to get the $$ I believe you are looking for.
Serial #'s mean absolutely nothing..It's the condition that counts and if it's not in the exact condition as you describe it to be you are gonna get a whole lot of SH_T.
What I am gathering is that you are selling it in collecter's condition and I don't see it that way by looking at your picture.

not being sold in collector's condition eh?

system comes in origional box and i'll rate the box at a 7 or 8 condition wise, origional manual in it's origional wrapping, a japanese memory card in origional packaging, i'm not sure why but should work just the same. Two neogeo arcade sticks in mint condition. 1 Rf switch in mint condition. One copy of fatal fury special complete in absolute mint condition. One neo-geo system obviously in mint condition seral number is 015886. One power supply in mint condition. System operates 100 percent no problems at all. Shipping for item will be 30.00. Optional av cable that is shown can be purchesed by winning bidder for an additional 10.00. PICS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST BUT I CAN"T SEEM TO GET EBAY TO ACCEPT THEM I realize that my feedback a little less than perfect, but feel free to email me at poseur39700@yahoo.com for questions on anything or concerns that you might have. This is a collectors piece in a condition that most are not in anymore especially american ones. No modifications have been done to this system.
Described as MINT?
shame oh_no oh_no

is mint not considered less than like new? like new would be collector's condition then would it not be. i know that like new is considered higher and better condition than mint. Mint is extremely good, like new is collector grade condition if u ask me, not that mint can't be but if i was going to go for something as a collector i would want like new or nothing

and for the hell of it i would love for u to tell me by the pics what is not in mint, granted some are blurry i suck at taking pics what is not mint, are u going to tell me that because the wires were not wrapped up for the pic that that means they are not mint, and if u are fine but that is the only arguement u could put forth to not being mint

Yes but most people standards on our community
MINT is almost like new...

MINT means USED but in perfect condition.

Your system doesn't look anything near that.
More like excellent to me.

Thank You,

Jorge

i waould like to know if this was the worse of the 2 aes systems and you rate this as being 7 or 8 on the auction then the 220 serial aes is what an 9 meaning almost in new condition and unless the serial is lower than 50 i do not think anyone would care about the serial unless they are really that picky about serials

I thought that the first 1,000 or so US AES Home systems were rental systems. If you actually had everything in mint condition, then it's really rare. But the chances that it's in mint condition, are slim to none.

i rate the box of the system up on ebay as a 7ish the box for the 220 is def. a 9 guys, and i'm telling u look at the ebay auction for the first one it's in nothing less i guess than "excellent" condition the other console is in BETTER condition overall, and again the other console one of the joysticks is still like wrapped at one end the way it would come, the system is still in it's wrapping. Why do i sa this stuff is in mint? i got both these systems from a customer for free at my work. Don't know why but I did no joke. Very nice guy said do what i want with them cause there was nothing he wanted with them anymore. Anyway the 220 serial # was apparently bought as a backup system later on from a website i'll actually look at the paperwork later and list what site but i dont' think they're around anymore. But it was bought as a backup system a long time ago. My understanding from him was they tested it and then never used it again. As for me I tested it, played one match of samurai showdown on it and that was it as well then it went right back in it's wrapping. I only tested one controller the way the other one was still wrapped i didn't want to touch it. So i used one controller out of that system's box and one out of the one that is on ebay just so i could test both control ports.

If what your saying is true, then mine was never rented :)

I have a US AES with a serial # 000017 & I would have to say that it is basically flawless.
