Ok, well, I don't have the heart to do the full conversion of my VF3 Mini Deluxe 33'' because it's great, the art is beautiful and I still like the game over to a JAMMA machine.

I went out and purchased those solderless "interrupt" connectors so I can "safely" splice in my JAMMA connector to the harness. I'm really really really worried about this just because it's sort of harrowing if you see the wiring first hand. I've done plenty of cab rewiring, but this is really a task to behold.

IT will make a really nice MAME and Neo cab when I'm done and the monitor is perfect.... I'll make sure to document and take photos for everyone to see.

Here's to hoping I don't fry everything.

Dude, I know what you mean. Model 3 wiring is MESSY to say the least.

If I were you, I'd yank out all of the wiring and re-do it from scratch nice and tidy, JAMMA-COMPLIANT. Then I'd buy a Model 3-->Jamma adapter.

That way you could play your Jamma boards, your Model 3 VF3 board and you would also keep the cabinet aesthetics intacts, while enabling more games to be played.

I'd like to do that, but I want to keep the cab as original as possible. That's the arcade collecting part of me coming out. I've softened in my last few years but it's where I draw the line.

I'm lucky in that the wiring is the factory wiring and really "Clean" in comparison, but it is a mess compared to most other cabs. The inside of the cab is incredibly clean, though, no coming out a black man for me. ;)
