Selling items like this with no feedback is definately not right...its not worth that amount anyway....someone WILL be burned here & something must be done by e-bay to prevent sellers with no feedback selling high priced items like this...'hit & run'..i guess is the sellers moto.

Ebay does not really care. All they care about is the commission.

Oh look, its also from Slovenia which the other fishey auction was from. I love the part which is says it can be played with neo-geo controllers as well as playstation and can be plugged into a computer monitor or tv. It's bogus when scammers like this expect to describe this when its description is nowhere near what the picture entails. I agree that ebay needs to do something about people who has no feedback/transactions and expect to sell something like this for a huge amount of cash.

Only an idiot (or a scammer) would try and sell something of that value with no feedback. Only an idiot would bid on it. The world is full of idiots (and scammers!)...

I remember back in 2000 when I wanted to sell something they had rule where you needed at least 10 feedback to sell, what happened to that rule?

It started cutting into their bottom line.

Hey there. Searching for "Slovenia" trough the forum for other reasons, I've stumbled on this topic. Wouldn't want to revive old stuff but I really have to tell you that you were very wrong about this one.
I've played the damn thing myself - even rewired both of our custom sticks to match the controller config that the PSX -> Neo-Geo adapters required to play with them (the annoying thing was that the adapters required PS2 "select" button to be used as the fifth action button (E) in the game - not a big deal with custom sticks, though). The seller bought the whole setup from a guy in the states who makes consolized versions of well.. these arcade setups, then ordered the HNK cartridge from Japan just to plays HNK (yeah, it's quite crazy - he spent a lot of money, but we've been fans of HNK anime since we were kids). Here's even the thread of our local forum where he introduces us to the idea of getting it (he alreay ordered it at the time) and all us going OMFG - http://pretep.konzole-slovenija.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=759 ). Sadly after a while he had to sell it because of lack of interest from the fighting community (we're stuck on GGXX/) and personal lack of time.

I'm not looking for flames, but would just like to point out how prejudices and assumptions made some of you write very stupid stuff here, like Hakkai's comment - dude, I love how you love the part too, as the machine DOES EXACTLY THE THINGS DESCRIBED. What was auctioned exactly matched the description and the guy selling it was far from a scammer (he already sold it). Hell. Sure, you may call him an idiot for trying to sell something of that value with practically no feedback, but a much less rude word would probably naive. Hope no offense is taken and I'm not opposing the arguments about eBay abuse, also, I understand it's your duty to protect newer eBay users from potential scammers - I respect that. But discrediting the auction and calling the seller thief and a liar just because you don't know him isn't right either. :oh_no:

Bye

To bust the scamers balls.....I'd ask if the item was available for pick-up...(with a story that you have family is some town in Germany(I actually do)if your in the US etc..)
Paying by cash or check..

Just to see what they'd say...

It's already sold. It was relisted and then somebody won it for $600. The winner is a return customer.
