I have a Cab currently in my garage. I have a small house, so I really have no space for it inside. My wife won't let me get rid of the kids, so the cab has to stay outside. :kekeke:

When I am not using the cab I disconnect the 1 slot and store it inside. After a while I am sure it will get old. So if I leave the PCB inside the cab overnight will it damamge or ruin the PCB? Duirng the winter time, I have enough common sense not to leave the PCB in the cab. But will it be ok, now that summer is coming? If I keep the cab covered with a tarp or something of that nature, will it help or make a difference?

As long as there is no damp in there, shouldnt be a problem imho.

Charging car batteries near by may also be a concern as the fumes are corrosive hydrogen/acid vapour.
Any other chemicals stored in there, pool chlorine etc ??

It'll be fine. I would recommend putting it on top of a pallet or something to elevate it off the ground.

If torrential rains come, it could get water damage. Keeping it off the ground will also help protect the bottom and edges from scuffs.

First of all, where do you live and what type of weather and climate do you get during the year? Here in California I don't have to worry as much as say someone living in Chicago or New York where you get cold winters and hot summers.

As long as the weather won't get to it, it should be fine. However the garage should be kept at an average room temperature. It could get ruined if the temperature goes from freezing in the winter to scorching hot in the summer.

I was worried about the too hot part.

At first I thought you were just making a smart remark but then I realize you're probably serious. If you're in San Jose, I don't think it's a real big deal. My condo is very poorly insulated and even when it's close to 100 degrees my cabinets and boards are fine.

Make sure you set out some D-Con or some other kind of mouse/rat poison in a corner of the garage. You don't want to open the cabinet up to find a nest in there.

I've covered every possible hole in the cab, especially after I found mouse dropping behind my washer and dryer.

Heat won't be an issue. Arcade PCBs are designed to operate in these conditions.

A neogeo MVS barely generates much heat anyways.

On a cold day turning a cab on ina cold environment can "pop" a monitor with ease.

Does the same go for a TV tube? I installed a TV tube in with a NeoBitz Converter.
