Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast online matchup thread (PS2/PSP/Xbox)

Well been putting in a few games of this offline and have the need to go online to play some games. I haven't seen anyone online with this yet, so post your online names (and version of your game) and let's get some games going.

BTW: I keep hearing about the Xbox version, yet I see it nowhere. Anyone know what happened to this version?

You know, I played the PS2 version of Outrun 2 and it looks nice and crisp. It looks even more crisp then the Xbox version. I was fairly impressed.

BTW: Can the PS2 play against the PSP version?

The PS2 version leaves out some details, here and there. Particularly in the road. In a way, it makes it seem cleaner since the road textures don't make the road look as gritty as they are in the Xbox or Arcade version.

I got the box version from NCSX. Hot damn is it awesome. I dont know how SEGA did it but they made a flawless game even better!

Ok. Now that some people have it. Try attacking my scores. Last time I checked, I had a few scores that ranked number 1 in the United states territory. (AquaRed)

I've been talking with the top ranked European players for what they were doing for their scores, so hopefully I should go up in the international rankings with that knowledge.

so am i wrong in thinking that the lines at either side of the track don't help as much as they used to? it seems like i lose speed either way.

anyways, i rented this last night, holy shit am i loving it

even if the Outrun Enzo/F430 are a bitch to control.

Shouldn't be too easy for you to find, but I couldn't find it anywhere here in the States.

Had to import a copy from Canada!

There seems to be an odd situation with Outrun 2006: CTC for XBox. It can't be found at local retail, that is Best Buy, EB Games, Gamestop, etc. Sega lists the XB version among the formats, so I emailed them, and they said it did indeed release last month at the same time as the other two versions. I ended up ordering the XB version from Amazon.com, and it shipped from J&R Music World, weirdly. Seems like many of the usual sources aren't bothering to carry the XB version of this game, I guess they felt it was too similar to the original Outrun 2 for XBox.

I have a feeling the XB version of Outrun 2006 will be somewhat hard to find in the future. I feel sorry for Sega, having put the effort into the XB version, and then seeing most traditional places not even bother to carry it. I got the PSP version prior to the XB one, and it plays and looks great on the small screen. Haven't even had time to play the XB version yet, but I'm sure it will be fantastic, just as Outrun 2 was.
