What is a Atomiswave Cabinet worth Honestly?

I have been offered a Atomiswave cabinet with 2 player panel for $1750

This sounds a little high

How much would you pay for this item?

I was offered a US cab also and am comtemplating buying that one.

Any help?

Eek... Coinopexpress has them for $950. $1750 is way too high.

I'm just saying that if you lived in japan and didn't have to pay an outstanding shipping fee, the cabs themselves run for about $950 (according to coinop) so i'm just assuming the guy that wants the $1750 lives in within the states and if the cabs are normally about $950 without shipping then $1750 shipped within the U.S. is way too much. It's like he's trying to charge for shipping from japan...and maybe he is idk where the cab is coming from.

yea, i agree with racecar, i don't think it should matter the price...to me over $1000 for any cab seems kinda ridiculous. Buy a 6 slot? heh :chimp:

To much money, maybe if it was in absolute perfect condition and never used which I am sure isnt the case. You can get cheaper cabs than that one.

yea, but you don't charge for shipping from japan when you're selling it in the states.
case and point: Matsu doesn't charge the buyer the shipping fee he paid when he imported his cabs from japan, only what it costs to ship from california where he lives to wherever you live. Auctually I don't know how much Matsu charges for and sd cab...

Point is...it's too much.

Infintido: you have your info incorrect.

1750 is about right for a japanese atomiswave sitdown cab outfitted with a 2p control panel.

A few months back Matsu was offering them for $1500 per cab and around $250+ for the 2p egret 3 cp. That doesnt include shipping from california. His prices might have changed since then, dunno...

Good luck getting an atomiswave SD from coinopexpress delivered to your doorstep for $950 :kekeke:

Of course he does. You think people who import any item to re-sell don't factor their original shipping costs into the price? They'd barely break even.

If you are technical, best/cheapest route is to just upgrade your existing cab (approx $400 for tri-res monitor in the US).

$1750 is an ok price, like someone said these cabs are indeed off the hook! amazing in every aspect!

if you buy 1 cab from coinop expect to pay alot more than that for it.. only way to get it cheaper is to buy 30-40 of them and sell the rest...

Sorry, if I came off like that. My opinion of Atomiswave cabs has nothing to do with Matsu. I like Matsu, and I appreciate him taking a business risk importing these high-end cabs. I've actually bought a control panel from him before. And I know its a business for him, and can't fault him for most of his prices as he needs to cover cost, and try to make at least a small profit to stay in business. What I don't like is the rarity of these things making people think they are somehow mystical/magical awsome cabs. They are pretty good, yes. Are they $1750 good (plus shipping)?...well thats debatable.

Sorry if I'm wrong about the JVS setup. I assumed with the highres monitor, the rest of the setup was modern (Naomi/Type-X compatible). Maybe its the SD model that is Standard Jamma only? Even if thats the case, then this is a lot of $ for a standard jamma cab with highres monitor.

...? you must be talking about another cab, the only part you got right was that the AW version does not have rotating mechanism..

shame about whiteys cab having a busted screen but these cabs have been on operating a few years in japan before being shipped over here.. thats quite alot for a chassi to take, because no matter what brand theyre very fragile (nanao btw).

ed: they ARE JVS ready yes, all the wireing has a JVS male/female plug, if you want to play naomi you just plug it in.. if you want to play jamma you just plug it in too

couldnt be easier.

The AW SD is indeed JAMMA,not JVS.

Also,the DC runs beautifully in these babies,so yeah...it's good shit.

Mr-Megalo and Whitey both confirmed the monitor uses a weiya chassis, not a nano. So I may only be wrong about the JVS setup...good to know it comes with both JVS and Jamma options...couldn't imagine something that expensive being jamma alone.

edit: hmm..getting conflicting reports here from Big on the JVS options.

It is a great cab. The monitor is a Samsung flat tube with Wei Ya chassis but it's still a great monitor in my opinion. The cab is exactly the same as the Egret 3, just without the rotation mech, yet its still quicker than an Astro to tate as the front is hinged.

im sure mine was nanao cause i fiddled quite a bit with the screen in my oldone, maybe it had been exchanged as it was purchased as used but reconditioned to new-condition :conf:

i can check the ones in the arcade tho and photograph if theres something other than weiya...

...still the best screen ive ever seen no matter what chassi is in it. :chimp:
