I'm selling a soul caliber 2 in a blitz cab. I dont think there was ever an official dedicated cab for soul caliber 2. This cab is a VERY well done converion(unlike most that I've seen. Looks awesome, and plays great too. For the sake of the 56k'ers, I'll only have one pic up, and the others will be links.

There you have it. No visible burn-in. Excellent monitor. Local pickup only or buyer arranges shipping. $800 Is what I'm looking for.

ps. this cab looks way better in person, so come check it out before you buy!

btw, those white spots aren't paint chips, it's sunlight reflecting off the bolt heads into my crappy camera.

it is at least medium res as that is what blitz is.

Don't be so sure. Medium res games are very rare. System 246 CAN run on a low res monitor. This game does NOT run on medium rez... therefore it's either a multi sync monitor (and if it was one time a blitz machine, you can count that out), it could be anything. Why don't you just open it up and see? Is there a VGA cable going from teh hardware (IO) to the monitor? That will answer your question right away.

Namco system 12 hooks up via vga, but is not high res. I looked in the back at the monitor. the model or serial on the chassis is wg1460312 but I couldn't find anything using google with that number. I then looked up the tube which is a63afw36x and came up with a bunch of random things. Seeing as this chassis is a wells gardner chassis, I assume that this is the tube that would have come with it, which would make it a philips tube.Though I didn't find anything directly stating the frequency values of this tube, I was able to find a price listing for it and a compatible chassis, setting that price just under $600 as seen here http://www.partstore.com/ModelDetail.aspx?ModelCatCode=075.100&ModelID=166701 . The monitor in the cab is an aftermarket monitor based on the stamped dates on the cab compared to the manufacture date of the chassis. The cab was made November 3, 1997, and the monitor was made in March of 98. The cabinet is connected to the I/O via vga, if that is good enough, but that does not mean that it is, in fact high res. Best way to tell if it's good enough is to see it for yourself... if it's not high res, it's an incredible low res output that would fool me.

on a side note: medium res games aren't that rare. Some sega model 2 and 3 games are medium res (I own zero gunner and pilot kids for example... both medium res). Midway systems from 99-00 (all 5 of them), It's just alot of the games that run med res aren't really ones that get collected much.

What you have is system 246, not 12. 12 Was Tekken Tag and stuff like that. If it's connected to the monitor by the VGA cable, then it is indeed a high res monitor.

I know that it's not system 12, but it does connect the same way, and 246 came from system 12. In any case, I took a picture of the connection for anyone who's interested.

As you can see, there is no video connection other than vga, so I assume that system 246 is like system 12 where it outputs low res or high res out of 15pin dsub connectors. As I've stated before, the best way to be sure that this cab is what you want is to come and take a look for yourself.

It's not directly connected to the monitor through VGA,hence the JVS to JAMMA convertor.

c'mon... someone's got to be into soul caliber 2... This is WAY too nice a machine to sell to an op, and get converted badly into another golden t.

if you split the SC setup from the cab - I might be interested in the game/system depending on price ;)

The monitor being low res would lower the price of this unit for sure. What about the neighbor? Didn't he take this already?

I'm going to piggy back this post by saying I have a system 246 for sale with Tekken 4. Anyone interested, PM me. My last buyer backed out without actually telling me.

Seeing as the game ALONE goes for close to $550 shipped from ecl, I'd say $250 is a GREAT price for a cab in this condition. The monitor would cost more than that to replace in a cheap cab.
