Anyone here own one?

I picked one up recently after I heard games were $7 each.

I have to say I am enjoying this little system. The screen is very bright, and so far, I have had no complaints about it being shaped the way it is.

I have the first model NG. I have Tony Hawk, Splinter Cell and something else for It I can't remember. I keep meaning to get a ram card with all the games on it off ebay.

I want to play the advanced wars rip off. You played that one yet?

I have the original "taco" model and six games:

Super Monkey Ball
Crash Nitro Kart
Pocket Kingdoms: Own The World
Pathway to Glory
The King of Fighters Extreme
Puzzle Bobble Vs.

Of these the only ones really worth mentionig would be Pocket Kingdoms and Pathway to Glory. There are a few games that I have demos for (or am just looking forward to) that I need to pick up: System Rush, Citizens of Catan, The Roots: Gates of Chaos, High Seize, Rifts: Promise of Power, and Bomberman.

The Roots may not be out yet though.

N-Gage.com is running a special right now, buy N-Gage QD and four games get an instant discount of $99 (essentially your games for free!). Takes the bite off of the fact that the N-Gage is still over priced.

On a related note has anyone looked into the N series of phones? I kind of like the looks of the N-80. I think that this series of phones can play N-Gage games in addition to having things like 3 megapixel cameras in them.

I had one. I quite enjoyed it as well. I eventualy sold it since I spent more time with my psp & ds.

Great games to get are pathways to glory, Splinter Cell CT, Monkey Ball (I quite enjoyed it) & Tony Hawk (Grr they should have also given us 2).

Also make sure to dl all the demo's from their website.

The little handheld that couldn't

Heh i remember in my store we had a few then slowly it went price drop, some of the games never got sold and then some of the games we shipped them out, and then we just got rid of everything completely. The sad story of the N-gage in my store :crying:

How is the Taco model? (Mmmm, taco. :p)

Roots is out. I picked it up for $7 at Gamestop. :)

Bomberman is fun, but seems to run a little slow. Still, if you can get it for $7, its worth it.

Yep, I have the qd model. Its actually pretty cool. Good games to look out for: Colin McRae rally, Worms, Elder Scrolls (imo), fifa soccer. Not as bad as everyone likes to think. Its kind of fun for the masses to jump on the "N-gage sucks" bandwagon. Hey, I laughed at it when it first came out.

Yeah, I used to joke about the N-Gage as well, but once I bought one (admitedly cheap prices do a lot to change my opinion), I see that it actually is a nice system.

Too bad Nokia did such a horrible marketing job.

For the interested....

Gamestop/EB is liquidating their remaining stock of N-Gage games. I believe all of the games they have are priced at $2.99 now. I snagged a few titles to round out my collection some including....

Pandemonium
Virtua Tennis
Operation Shadow
Crash Nitro Kart
SSX Out of Bounds

Not bad for $3 each. Most were still sealed. My store, an EB in the mall across the street, and another store on the west side of town are the only 3 stores in my area (the I-275 loop around the Cincinnati area) that still N-Gage games. I know my store has a few copies of Bomberman, King of Fighters, Roots, and Xanadu Next left.

What's Xanadu Next like? I saw that on N-gage.com while I was looking around, and realised that I'd never heard of it before. Not suprising with all the great coverage that the mainstream media give it.

NONE of the stores in my area really carry the games. Just a few of the original stock left over from launch probably. I'm forced to buy online or not at all.

Quite nice. It has a few features that were removed for th QD version: FM radio, USB port, and MP3 player. A friend of mine has the QD version, but wishes that he had the original model. He liked the button layout better on that version, especially the button under the D-pad.

Many EBs that still have them are clearing them at $50 or even $20. Games are $3 on EB.com (you'll have to search though!).

I can't offer an opinion on if it's worth it, but that's pretty cheap given it's a phone too, even if I'd rather not use it as one.

Eh, I don't care how I look when on the phone, I don't use it much anyways since I'm not one of those doucheholes who talks on the phone while driving.

I love my N-gage, as a phone, as a multi-media device (symbian phones kickass), and as a gaming device.

Fucking N-gage owns. People who have actually owned one realize that :emb:

Are there any differences between US and Euro N-Gage games besides packaging?

I recently picked up a huge lot of Euro N-Gage games, and I want to know if there is any real reason to pick up the US versions as well (hey, $3 each)?

Link? When I do a search the only game that comes up is Tomb Raider. :(

Why couldn't n-gage be this cool when I had one. :(

Even tho I sold mine, I never once regretted buying the thing.

Symbian 60 is also sweet (there is an awsome genesis emu for S60).

actually i got one for free from the store i worked at since
they were throwing out the old demo units.
sad was i that you couldn't switch out sim cards to
use the mp3 abilitys, which is what i kinda would have liked.
well. not really, but it seems like a neat idea.
i got it in case i ever track down tomb raider on the ngage for it.

Xanadu Next is an awkward title. It was programmed by Falcom (my sole reason for getting it :emb: ) but it plays a little goofy. I haven't invested much time into it.

qube or rarehero, if there's anything you guys are looking for lemme know.
