blatant liars. Read the ridiculous text about "dont know if its origional or not-cant be sure".

This arssholes have resorted to selling bootlegged aes games and passing them off as possibly origional. These guys have been selling neo geo for 16 years yet claim in their text that they didnt know the game was a bootleg even tho it has
a) fake cheap cart sticker.
b) photocopied insert and instructions(black and white)

c) the worst thing is the picture is clearly one of a different copy of world heroes 2 to the one i received which fills not even half of the cart box in height or length and is cut lopsided.

D) the box the cart comes in is not the same as the one in the pic. The plastic has a chunk missing and the tray is all but smashed to bits.

To cap it off the cart doesnt even work!Despite my best efforts to clean it.

Dont deal with these cheats unless like me you want to receive shabby customer service and get ripped off.

I bought a RBFF2 MVS from them for £9 shipped last month - I was happy with how it went.

There are lots of bad comments about them tho in plenty of threads, mainly about their crappy prices.

I bought about 10 RGB cables for all my consoles from them, 3 years or so ago. Their prices are ridiculous...it cost me almost $350.

I remember ordering import games from Raven back in the late 80's (when they were based in a house, not a shop), and they were great.

I also used to part own an independent software/hardware shop in the UK, and I will tell you now, that it is very difficult for these stores indeed.

Large retailers are monopolising new stock, by securing 'first delivery' rights and the second hand game shop scene, is almost dead (thanks to eBay).
So thats why they have ridiculous prices (as they obviously paid more for certain items a while back).

Of course I wouldnt pay more than I need to either, so i guess business is bad for them now.

Allthough, selling boots is no way acceptable, even if you are trying to keep your business afloat... Did you contact them?

Ravengames is bad, m'kay..

They sold me a resurfaced CD claiming it was minty, and they sold me an RGB lead which was non-functional due to the fact that their "tech guy" had soldered the wires to the wrong places.

Who would bootleg an old game of little value like WH2? Even if the insert is fake I have reason to believe that the cart is legit. No one in their right mind would bootleg a cheap game when there's so many expensive ones to work with.

I've bought from Raven a couple of times and despite their relatively high prices I found their customer service to be very good. Recently I bought a Metal Slug 2 AES from them as it was as described and they even replaced the case at it was a bit dodgy.

Your conjecture is pointless. Its not about the economics of the situation. The fact is the cart didnt work and i opened it up and it was rewired city.
Raven have been in business since the late 80's.
They had a near monopoly (along with telegames) on neo geo stuff from the 1990-95 era. It was only CEX who started doing massively affordable neo and offering great deals around early 96 that broke the monoploy. I was a student in london around the time and i often visited raven with friends for 2-3 years in that period and without doubt all of us found Tony a real mean spirited guy with no time for gamers.. But no one could say that they didnt only sell 100% origionals ( and i bought a lot of jamma boards off them and i know they refused to touch coipies)

later on I started selling MVS trade- and people in the trade said things along the lines of "tony is okay when u get to know him and hes absolutely loaded has a porsche and big 7 bedroomed house but he doesnt give a shit about gamers hes only in it for the money u cant expect him to stop and be nice to people in his shop".......so u cant fault him for that and I dont.......Im only saying tough times with ebay or not or not its coming to something when they have been reduced to selling crap like a non working cart. Ive since had a refund and i totally refute the "small games shops have died since ebay" argument. Raven made a killing on jamma and neo geo they totally sold at extortionate prices. I remember taking a 2 hour journey to buy a wrestlefest jamma for £85 quid in 1997 cos it was my favourite game. In the trade that board as a i learnt a couple of years later was a £15-£20 board.

I didn't even read any of that, but I applaud you for such a long post :chimp:
