Gavin came through as all of you have already read. Took me a while to come back and change this as I have been having problems with my PC while on this site and others. Anyway glad this was resolved.

Whoa.

Gavin has always been aces in my book. He's a very trustworthy person and a respectable member of our community. A month is a pretty long waiting period,I know. Perhaps he might be away on a trip of sorts?

My sentiments. I had a deal with gmw back in 2003 or 2004 where he gave me a TOP deal on SENGOKU BLADE (60 shipped for a complete, mint copy)

Sadly, if this does turn out that he's gone bad... the ole saying is true... at any given time, even a good apple can turn rotten.

I am currently facing a situation (elsewhere) where likewise, I sent paypal on 3/31, and have yet to receive items 4/21.

Best of luck to you Bullet.

I guess he has some kind of personal trouble in real life, I hope everything turns out well for everybody

The funny thing is that if a n00b tried to sell a Xbox with a lot of pirate games in its HD he would have been flamed to death... :kekeke:

A year or so ago I made a topic about this. Always found it funny how a noob would be blasted if he were to sell a certain item, but if the same item is being offered by a "well off" member, nobody says a daaaaaamn thing.

Same thing with prices. If a noob offers NiGHTS for $25 people have no problems slapping the noob upside the head. Make it NiGHTS $25 from a longstanding member, people stay hush.

simple example of "backstage powers/pull" to some extent.

This is truly weird. I've never had a problem dealing with Gavin on here. I can vouch for him anytime. He's fast, trustworthy and reliable in my book. He gives you 110% everytime.

Hope he's alright and things workout for the both of you.

Disbelief....

I've had numerous transactions with Gavin over the years (both being seller and buyer) and never had any issues while dealing with him. I could be wrong, but maybe something happened to him?

In response to kitkit: have you tried refuting the cashed check with your bank? My bank helped me when I bought something from EBay using a business check. The eBay seller in question cashed my check but never rendered the goods; I went to my local bank to dispute the check and the charges. I had to supply the bank with the EBay auction info, the conversations we had via e-mail, and the check itself. The process is tedious and lengthy and you have to fill out a series of dispute forms. Anyway... it took the bank a month to resolve the issue, but I ended up with a refund.

Stealing $500 is a felony, so he’s in deep trouble if you ever decide to pursue this legally.

In either case, I wish you well and hope things work out in the end.

$500 and up is jail time.
You have his information and proof of the check being cashed, just take it to the authorities.

All -

I've been gone from N-G.com, and traveling without much net access for the last month. I've emailed Kit about this whole problem, and his package is now on its way, and I've passed on DC and insurance info to him.

I gave him the in-depth explanation, but the long and the short of it is that I'm in the process of a big life move, and had been away for quite a while. I was under a lot of time pressure before taking off, and I left packages to be sent with my housemate in Philadelphia at the end of March. This was a big mistake of mine - they never got sent, and I found this out when I got back home on Monday.

I really dropped the ball on this one, and shouldn't have been trying to sell stuff at a time when I couldn't be an active and attentive seller in the transaction.

I want to apologize publicly to Kit, and to all the members here who vouched for me - I've never had a bad deal on N-G.com, and have bought/sold/traded with most of you. I royally screwed this one up by trying to do too much at a time when I shouldn't have been selling anything due to time pressure.

Kit should be getting the Box shortly, and I hope all's well that ends well.

Major apologies again to Kit, and to Bulletnyourass for having to spend time getting involved in this screw-up of mine.

Gavin

That sucks kitkit.com, I never dealt with him but he should have been trust worthy with that many feedback. Maybe something happened to him but I would dispute it, $500 bucks is alot of money and its well worth going through the hassle of filling out forms to get your money back.

To all NG.com members:

Member "Gmw" (Gavin Walker) just logged in to ng.com and gave me the tracking & insurance number for the Xbox. He also explained to me that he could not send out the Xbox package in time due to personal matters. Everything is cool now. I will give another update upon receipt of package. Thank you!
