Got my copy last night. I am enjoying alot. I never played the AW version so I cannot compare it to that version.

I was playing the endless matches and had a lot of fun with it!

I got mine two nights ago, from a local Powergamer store. Technically, it's like the main non-big chain high import supporting store in Maryland, now. Especially since the more corrupt Pandora's Cube went down the toilet for a reason that's surprisingly not quite as bad as every illegal thing they really did. Still, the outcome was the same. I'm guessing the reason they weren't caught by the other stuff was that they took advantage of their US location, where it's tougher for entities, in Japan, to press charges or site illegal profit-making activity across the seas.

where'd ya get it from?

I got mine from a local Gamecrazy. They had like the one copy and it was just laying there. I asked why just the one copy and they were like, because it's SNK. No one wants that anymore.

I was mad but happy in the end that I found it.

My order is still standing with EB in Rome.
I got an automated call yesterday saying it was in.
Went today and still no game--maybe tommorow they said. Which stinks because it's 60Miles round trip.

But, I stacked up on Zelda games while I was there, so no super loss.

I went to a few local games stores and no dice. Apparentally the game is only being sent to select stores and they only get a few copies since it is not a premium title. You will probebly have to get the game online. Considering the xobx and ps2 are coming to a end get use to this. Stores want to get rid as mant of these games as possible to make way for the next gen systems

mine was about a week late like alot of people from EB

but i got it on tuesday

IMO its alot better than the atomiswave version

the characters are kinda filtered so it looks more like say KOF XI or NGBC..they blend in with the high res backgrounds alot better now

and if i remember correctly most of the backgrounds in the AW version were all bland prerendered crap

now at least they are nicely done in 3d..still a bit bland...but theres a few more interesting new ones in the mix now too

gameplay..as far as i can tell its the same..but i diddnt play the arcade version too much and im no killer at KOF..i wouldent notice minor balence tweaks

i suck so add GT XcomplexzX for free wins :)

WOAH! You're in MD?! I would love to get some games in on a local KOF player :multi_co: I'm in Owings Mills. Though PG is around the beltway I believe, like 3 stores? maybe 4.

I have yet to see the game in stock at EB's and GS'

Also, PC went down because they were selling (and advertising on TV :kekeke: ) their "Super-Xbox"s that were pre-modded, came installed with over 80 games and the programs to burn the games to the system as well. Yeah, if that didn't break copyright laws. PG doesn't mod so they're safer

People are now saying May Lee and Angel aren't in the Xbox port, which would be complete bullshit. Can anyone who has the game definitively confirm/deny?

That is correct. Eolith owns the TM to those charicters and SNKP USA I dont think wanted to pay for them so they left them out.

I finally got a copy today from a Gamecrazy store. I like it but I miss Tizoc/Griffen Mask from 2003. :(

I think that's the biggest video game urban myth of the past 10 years. How would Eolith own characters that appeared for the first time in KOF? Eolith programmed the game ('01 and '02), yes, but the character designs were done by Japanese Playmore staff. Not to mention they were already in the PS2 port. I call bullshit.

Here's an easy way to clear this up: if it's true, there should be some kind of seperate copyright note for those characters on the packaging of the JPN PS2 Neowave, that mentions "Eolith". (for whoever has that game). The same way Capcom has to mention Marvel every time you see any kind of MVC2 stuff.

Eolith didn't make Neowave, so any mention of them on JPN PS2 Neowave could only mean one thing. If they aren't mentioned somewhere on the packaging, I stick with my call of bullshit.

I already posted this in the other neowave thread in general but......has anyone bothered to play through survival/endless mode. That's where you unlock all the characters in the ps2 neowave. After you beat them you go to the character select screen and hold r1 (for xbox it would probably be one of the triggers) over certain characters to select them.
