Dead pixel fixable?

Today I disassembled and moved my MVS 4-slot to my new apartment and when I reinstalled the monitor and fired it up it has a single dead black pixel in it that I'm pretty sure wasn't there before. I can't see getting a whole new wells-gardner just for one damn pixel, but it's hard for the perfectionist in me to ignore. :)

Has anyone see this before? Anything to be done? No chance that the problem is in the MVS hardware right? Thanks for thoughts!

Dead pixel on a CRT? My guess is a spec of dirt that needs to be scraped/scrubbed off.

I have got the same problem. Although i have had it the whole time i have had this one cab. I presume that it is something stuck in the shadow mask. Is there any way to "flush" the tube?

Yes, exactly my thought -- but it's defintely not dirt on any of the exterior glass. When I crank the brightness it just stays blacker than black. Hmm, dust in the shadow mask is a good possibility though; I did notice that if I focus on the dot when I shut off the power it doesn't move as the rest of the image shrinks for that moment on its way out. That gives me hope!
