Hey everyone. I am asking this here since I know there is a following for homebrew and what not here. I may have to take this to an EMU forum, but I figured I'd try here first.

I have a DS Lite... and it has a stuck pixel. I am wanting to try a few methods to get rid of it, one of them is using a program found online that flashes colors. I need to get a Flash Cart/ Card to load it and am wondering my best option. I looked at the M3, but it seems like in order to flash it I wouldn't get the 4 settings of brightness anymore... which I DON'T WANT. I want to make this as painless as possible. I do like the idea of homebrew as well and will probably load up some NES/ SNES games when I'm done w/ the pixel thing.

Any recommendations? Information? Thanks!
~Jon

My recommendation for you is to jut wait until the DS Lite get released here. You have a one year warranty with the system. Call nintendo and send it back to them. I have heard of nintendo of america exchanging import systems once those colours were available here. But I've even heard of them exchange colours that never came here too.

The FlashMe program which flashes the firmware, is now able to incorporate the backlight adjustment setting, although it is still in the beta stage.

For flash cards, I recommend Super Card SD version. It's the best for the DS although the cart will stick out a lot when you put it in the Lite.

I heard some different things as far as homebrew... will the flash cart be able to emulate NES/ SNES games? such as Chrono Trigger... Earthbound, etc.. Just wondering for compatability issues.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure there's a SNES emulator for the DS so yes you can play Chrono Trigger. ;)

You can do away with that package assuming you flash your DS using the FlashMe (google flashme and you'll find it in the first link).

Or if you're not brave enough to do it to the Lite, then you either have to get a PassMe/Superpass.
