My arcade has some pretty bad ass games. Games that are still being played a lot today. I've got Virtua Fighter Evolution, Super Turbo (finally), a brand new Marvel vs Capcom 2 set up, and now... finally... Third Strike is mine.

The problem is I'll have to take out Vampire Savior in order to make room for TS, until I get another cab for just VS. So now I've got the big three capcom fighters, and VFE for those that love 3D. I can finally die a happy man. (not counting the lesser fighters like Tekken 2 and 4). All I need now is Guilty Gear and a few KOFs, and my fighting arcade will be good enough for just about anyone who enjoys fighters.

Hey Spike, glad to know you got your Naomi 2 running OK :-)

How do you like VF4E? I'm a huge fan of the series, and I will buy the kit as soon as possible as well.

I wonder how much better than the PS2 port it is, graphically speaking.

The PS2 port's really damn nice. I played that for over a year before graduating to the N2 version. The first thing you notice on the arcade is just how damn sharp the graphics are. They look even more high res. I guess it's because it's a progressive signal. It looks fucking great. My friends have get togethers to play mostly VF4E, so I have the comp, too. Not to be a fan boy, but it's much better than any Tekken (opinion, of course).

Awesome, that's just what I wanted to hear, Spike.

I'll be one happy mofo when I get VF4E :-)

Congrats on the cabs, they are truly sweet.

I had to make most of them. All new parts for most (joysticks, buttons, glass, monitors). Hard work, but it's worth it. ;)

Thats so beautiful man! Right down to the control pannel on SSF2T. The only thing I don't see on it is the button labels for MVC2 with the A1 and A2 button labels.

Have you considered opening your arcade to the public, you could easily make over a million dollars in quarters.

PS: don't die before Third Strike arrives! That would be such a shame.

A1 and A2 button labels? I got a full full kit from arcade shock, and I never saw these labels you speak of. Since the pic's been taken, I've centered the moves stickers on that cab so it doesn't look retarded since. Will take pics of TS when I get the set up.

Also have a Super Mario Nintendo machine, but it's actually my gf's. Sort of wish it wasn't in the same room with all the fighters, actually. :annoyed:

As soon as you get SF3 3s, here's what you do:

1) test the game
2) Turn it off and get the battery replaced

My WarZard I got SATURDAY is ___DEAD___ and it was my most wanted arcade fighter ever. I am very pissed off. I'm glad the store is doing everything to replace/fix it.

I've already got meanbean at the ready. Wouldn't that be gay if I got it and it were dead as I got it.

Anyone know when I take a SF:NG kit and turn it into SF3 TS, how do I go about the ram? I've seen sites showing what ram is what, but these say "sound" and all that stuff... when you put a new game in, does it flush out what's on this ram and start all over or what? How do I know it's loading the game into ram?

you cant convert them...

you can re-use the mainboard though, if you know the exact places to stick the DIMMs on the board.

change cart, memory sticks and CD (when appropriate) and youre done :)

Are you sure you cannot convert them at all? Why not?

Basically, because you have to swap the CD, ROM Cartridge and DIMM sticks.
You can re-use the mainboard and the CD Drive.

I would call that a "game swap", not a conversion ;-)

They guy said it came with four simms.... that wouldn't make sense as third stike kits have 7, don't they (5 128 and 2 64)? My NG had only 2 128, 1 64 and 1 32! It's supposed to have two 64s, not one... and it still works?

Today's the day I get my third strike stuff. I'm getting the cart and cd from one place, the mobo with all the ram from another, and still the marquee from another. I know because of tracking that I'm getting the ram/mobo and game items today. Let's hope that the cart still works.... that's my only worry at this moment.
