but why not get one that matches the paint job? Or get the car painted to match, or something... to me, it just looks unfinished with a hood that's a completelly different color... it looks like someone dropped something on the old hood, damaged it, and the owner couldn't find one in the right color. Whether it's functional or not, isn't what concerns me, as I'm into keeping things as stock as possible unless it's things that actually make a practical difference to the feel of the car (such as changing out the speakers in my 87 volvo). I mean... I have a 73 el camino sitting in the driveway that I could put a shitload of money into, and make it pwn pretty much any rice rocket around, but it would be impractical as it already gets bad gas mileage, is already a fairly high theft car, wont see much useage except for the rare occasions for racing, and would cost WAY more than to just bring it back up to stock running order. But I'm getting off my original topic... I just don't see what's so appealing about having a hood that's the opposite color as the rest of the car (even if you can gain 30 lbs to compensate for the new material).
