I got this game about a week ago and the only sound in it is in the intro and a constant tone at the save screen.

Tried the game on 4 different NGPC's and got the same reslts on all.

Is the game defective?

Thanks...

yes, you should have sound while switching between areas like from the save to the command center for your next mission...the sound creates the environment and builds the tension before the next scene, when being interrupted by the a message from the enemies at the command center, mini scenes etc. Faselie is an awesome Tactical game and should be enjoyed to the fullest.

Hi there, guys. I recently bought a Neo Geo Pocket Color as well as Faselei, and I am having the exact same problem!

I'm really worried, because that was the game I was looking forward to playing the most! I have tried blowing the cartridge and cartridge slot, but I only get the music in the intro as well as the tone when saving.

Could anyone please let me know what's going on and if I can do anything to fix it? Any help is very much appreciated.

i have a feeling that its to do with the actual system itself, on the original stone blue system the sound is screwed in quite a few games for me, MOTM, SS2 etc don't have an english faselei to test, but the sound in all these other games works fine on my other slim console.

I see.. thank you for your reply. :) I was hoping It would have been something fixable, but this isn't too bad either. I just searched Ebay.com and .co.uk for a Neo Geo Slimline. There were only two results. One containing a lot, of 8x B & W ones, and one that was an "x-ray" see-through version of the NGPC. It wasn't too expensive, and it was in the UK. So that's good news! :)

Could you (or anyone) tell me if the Japanese Slimline has a language setting that can be turned to English?

Yeah there's a language setting on all the pockets. I could only get my Faselei to work with sound in only one of my four NGPC's. In the other 3 I just get bad static where the music should be in the hanger and no sounds at all are present when in the playfield.

The 3 pockets that id dosen't work with are the ocean blue camo, dark blue camo, and the solid light blue.

The one it does work with is a slimline silver.

That site is a Godsend, thank you so much! :D I just finished sending the payment, and I even bought a link cable! Ckchan seems really nice, and was very understanding and patient. Made a lot of effort to answer my questions, providing me with pictures and everything. I can see why you recommended him!

When I get more money, I will go into the more serious SNK things (I dunno what exactly they are called, but some kind of home console or arcade or something by SNK). AES? MVS? I dunno, lol.

np mate,
the pocket got me into neo as well, great little system still play it more than anything else. Just got an aes a while back, if you enjoy 2d games do yourself a favour and pick one up or an mvs. Be warned if you get an aes u'll most likely be very poor, as i have discovered.
