I know these pics look like they were taken with Ansel Adams' asshole, but I'm using my laptop's built in cam.
I've never done the obligatory collection post, so here goes:
The sign my sister in law got me...
This is my Virtua Fighter 3 Deluxe 33'' cab. This thing is a MONSTER. I had to take it down into my basement myself and the monitor alone weighs about 125 lbs, easily. Luckily, it all got down there in one piece. I'm having a harness made to plug into the Model 3 pinout so that it will take JAMMA, so I can use the large, beautiful monitor and for a MAME install.

Save these pics, because you will never see this again... anywhere.
This is my 19'' Merit Megatouch deluxe cab with an uber rare Titanium Upgrade kit installed.
The cab itself was pretty rare, as Merit is based out of Bensalem, PA and this cab is one of their earliest iterations, didn't get circulated outside of the Philadelphia area very much. You may spot one in the wild, if you're very lucky, but probably one beat to holy hell. This thing looks like it just rolled out of the factory.. These are all officail upgrades, so it's not a hack job.
I installed a fresh new 19'' VGA monitor, so the picture is really sharp.
I converted it to an XL5000 kit and wasn't happy, so I searched for a very long time and actually found the UBER rare Titanium upgrade Kit. It has the official Merit HD in it, not the CD-Rom, so it's very very fast. This came down during the switchover to the MAXX platform and software. It's the highest upgrade for XL5000's. Nice stuff in there. I'm addicted to Photo Hunt and Tri-Towers, which is why I got the thing. Instead of going to a bar, slamming beers and throwing dollar bills in one all night, I have one downstairs. By far, my favorite collection piece that I've ever owned.
I got the cab at the Cherry Hill coin-op auction for $75. The original monitor was a Low-Res and at the auction it was not working. I opened the back of it up, fixed the wiring and it came up like a charm... so I did what any one at the auctions does, completely undo the fix praying no-one saw what I did... got the deal of a lifetime on it, as this thing is worth a SHIT load of money. All together, I paid almost nothing for all of it. I had the monitor, the upgrade kit was a throw in to a deal that I got. The guy didn't know that was what I wanted the whole time....
This is my mame/jamma cab. It's a Sega Gremlin, originally a Zaxxon. The original artwork was painted over and is still underneath it. It was converted to six buttons by an op in the Allentown, PA area before I got my hands on it.
I won't lie, it's not very nice. I keep it for one reason. It was the first cab I ever did a MAME conversion to. It's gone through so many upgrades and rewires that the insides are barely recognizable. I mounted the mobo and HD to the inside of it and it currently runs a J-PAC w/ a Matrox G4 VGA card. The CPU is a 1.7 GHZ P4 w/ 512 megs of RAM. It's a continuous WIP for me and a labor of love. Everytime I say "it's done" I redo it just to test new stuff for cabs I do for other people.
