If the battery is dead in a cps3 cart, is it forever dead or is there anyway to revive it? thanks.

I hear it, I recently sold my Third Strike setup because I just can't live with my CPS3 fears anymore. I loved the game, but I'll buy another one down the road when there are no more worries and I can get my CPS3 "Pheonixed".

I could live with a SF3 NG or 2nd Impact setup because if one of them dies it's not like losing a family member.
