Since it seems there's a decent number of board members
I know of residing in the Pitt area(Lashujin, Blaine, Scuz39 to name a few)
maybe some sort of informal meetup at the hotel might be appropiate.
The convention's video gaming room is going to be situated
inside the hotel that is connected to the Monroeville Expomart.
Apparently the room has enough square feet to accomodate 25
tv/console stations along with at least a pair of projecton
screens, and a few dedicated arcade units.
At least one of the gaming department heads has guaranteed
a Neo homecart system will be set up for the entire duration
of the weekend so as to allow a steady rotation of different
fighters and whatever else people happen to suggest or donate.
The MOTW tournament is slated for Friday night. I suspect
the brackets will allow for 64 entrants maximum. Probably
single elimination matches but don't quote me on that...
What else to expect that weekend:
-Tons of open gaming/casual matches in LB2, NGBC, SS Tenka,
KOF 2k2, CVS2, 3rd Strike, Rumble Fish, SFA3, RBS, etc.
-A massive wireless BYOC gathering for DS enthusiasts
-Impromptu tournaments for import only fare e.g. Naruto GNT 4
-plenty of retrogaming
-superb social aspect
More details forthcoming as they become available!
