I see an item I'm interested in... now it's the long 6 day wait to see what happens as the auction comes to an end.

HI
i get the system today

but i have a problem, or you make an error on your auction
you say the system was :

copy from eBay

http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8269349927

It has a very low serial number of 04121

and it´s 43121

only a number between, but this number for me it´s a world

for some people this error it´s nothing but to me... it´s a problem

i bought this expensive system because i supoose was a 4121 serial number, very low number, the first system released in USA, but i suposse this system it´s a PAL version? :? it´s like my PAL system, because i have 2 system more in my collection around 40XXX

sorry my bad english :(

what can we do? now i´m not very interested in get another system with this serial 4XXXX for 340€

if the system was 5XXX not problem but it´s a lot of up around 40XXX

Thanks
Jorge

i have send to you too an email

Actually the price was $369.70 in US Dollars, not Euros. So, you are actually making money off it. :shame: You should charge the same if selling it or a little less to cut your loses and sell it off.

So, you are charging someone to pay for the shipping to you from the seller and then from you to the person buying it. :oh_no: Sell it for whatever you want, but that is just morally wrong. Hopefully you get what you want for it though!

I have a couple things to say here:

1) The total cost for the buyer for this items was the final price of the auction plus shipping costs therefore, if he wants to break even (which I think is perfectly understandable) he needs to get an amount as closer to that one as possible, and I don’t see what’s wrong with that, I would also try to recover the total amount if possible.

Another thing is, given that the auction price is known, it is doubtful that potential sellers will agree to pay more than that, personally I also have to say I will not. In any case it’s all about offer and demand…

2) I myself was interested in this auction and I almost bid for that system, just because I also thought it was a 4XXX, as the auction stated, now it turns it is a 4XXXX system, and I am shocked and very glad I did not bid, because otherwise I would be extremely pissed off and even feel scammed (I do not mean that the seller misrepresented the description intentionally).

In fact I bought few games from dreamstationx in the past, and I was very pleased, so I do not doubt he just made a honest mistake now, however we cannot deny that the serial number was a very relevant aspect of this auction, even crucial for some, hence if this information was nor accurate the seller should assume responsibility for his mistake. Let’s not forget that what makes a great seller is not just the way he works to make deals work smooth as silk, but specially how he can come trough to resolve any issues that may arise.

Neo_geo_aes, have you PMed or e-mailed dreamstationx about this?

Well, then his best bet is to go back to the seller. To charge for double shipping is up to him, but I for one would not pay that and as you said you would not either. I just think he and the seller need to work this out or put it on eBay again or try to sell it here for the highest amount he can get. But, like you said, now that the final price is known not many would pay more. But, as I always say, we all have our own opinions here.

I know you are not the one who made the error. This should be worked out between you and seller, but what I am saying is that you feel the seller made the error and you should not have to pay the extra 30 GBP, but you feel that the person you are selling it to (who made no errors or had nothing to do with the first deal) should pay for the error. That is what is wrong. Hopefully the seller will just work this out with you and this will not be an issue. Good Luck!

Indeed, don’t think I am too far from what you said, I fully understand your reasoning, but it’s just that I try to put myself in the buyer’s shoes too and, if I were him, I would also like to recover all the money I invested in something that turned to be not what I bought. :)
