'Cuz dammit, I wanna hear how cool they all are in an effort to make myself more pissed off about the fact that the lame-ass stores around here don't have this week's releases and I have no idea when they will.

Seems like the PSP is finally getting noteworthy games. Yes, I know that Exit, Maverick Hunter, and a few others are cool, but Daxter's the kind of game that will keep me on the thing for hours at a time.

I got Rockman-Rockman,and I love it.

It is definitely a trip down memory lane, and then some, thanks to the additional modes and features.

Looking forward to getting Syphon Filter this week.

I might get Daxter sometime, but I have a question:

Is there less driving and more platforming in this game compared to Jak 3?

The relatively small amount of platforming was one of my biggest complaints about Jak 3, and it was doubly painful because the platforming sections themselves were so good.

All the driving around and the minigames killed the game for me.

Does Daxter have more platforming or does it still have a bunch of other game modes I don't really care about?

I'm looking at you, jro.

Didn't see this thread. Just started a new one about Mega Man Powered Up. It is a fantastic game and is absolutely worth picking up. Haven't had a chance to try the other new releases yet, but I am glad to know my PSP is finally getting some use.

For those of you who have the import version, how are the boss voices? The US voices are terrible.

All 3 games get excellent reviews from Gamespot and IGN (whatever that's worth). It is funny how there was the longest drought of good games, and then 3 of them come out the same day.....

I decided to drive 30 minutes each way last night so I could get all three (plus MGS3:S) from EB instead of waiting for Rhino Videogames to get a clue.

The only one I had time to play (I had a night meeting) was Daxter. So far, so good. Very good, actually. I'm not too far yet, but the emphasis seems to be much more on actual platforming than it was in Jak 3 (same complaints here, with such excellent platforming, why am I driving a damn car in 2/3 of the levels?), and it's very well-done. Even though Naughty Dog only consulted, the quality is VERY high, with graphics that are probably the best I've seen on PSP (though I'm expecting Syphon Filter to surpass it), the same voice actors from the earlier games in the series, and just as tight of control as ever.

Another major plus- the camera. The camera in Daxter works really, really well. It makes all those other 3-D platformers on PSP and their camera issues seem pretty strange. The biggest compliment I would give it is that I forgot about the camera altogether after 2 minutes of play.

I think it's a pretty safe "buy" recommendation.

@Ron McRae: damn right! I didn't realize how soon that's coming out until I was in the store last night. I went ahead and preordered M&MK so I can be sure to have a copy waiting along with Oblivion next Wednesday.

Finally my PSP gets some exercise.

Definitely go with the import. The import voiceovers are much, much better than its domestic counterpart.

As a side note,I am particularly fond of Dr. Wily's and Oilman's voiceovers:kekeke:

Looks like Metal Gear Ac!d 2 and Capcom Collection are being released right now in USA. Anybody got them? Does MGA2 come with the 3D glasses?
