Metal Gear Solid 3 Online matchup thread

Alright, I haven't seen a thread on this yet and want to get some games going with my fellow NG members. So post your online name and what kind of matchups you want to play and when you are on.

Time on: As of now through the day
Matches: Any kind I'm just starting to get the hang of things

Well, I'm off to lunch, but I'll be back after 1:15 CST so let the games begin.

Times on: Probably mostly at night, aside from Thursday and Friday, when I'm off work.
Types of matches: Any and all. Might as well get good at all of them.

I'll most likely be on all day, aside from a few breaks here and there. Got's a headset, too, for voice chat. Anyone else here rockin' a mic?

Now how do you add buddies online without playing in a game with them? I know how to add players in a match, but I'm not sure how to do it while I'm in the online mode.

BTW: I will be adding you both.

You can do a player search while on a server and see if they come up. If you press Circle, you can bring up a list and go right to the host they are playing on (if they are playing at the moment). Just bring up the player list for that host game and you can add them from there.

*re-reads that* Hopefully that isn't too confusing. lol

what we should do is keep in contact about which specific server to look for eachother on...if anything, we all should just stay on the Snake server. if for some reason it's full, just go to the next server down to look, in this case, Liquid.

im going on right now, all this talk make me want to play...btw, just so you gguys know, for the moment, i cant get my static IP and UDP ports going right, so i cant create games.

You know I've been having the same problems. Everything else is fine and I even made a whole new internet connection setting and still no go. I'm not sure what I need to do to get that working so I can get some games created.

yeah, its a real bitch, even with stuff like SOCOM on PSP...*sigh* truly one of the real bad things about routers...you'd think in this day and age, there wouldn't be problems like this, espically for the new to average gamer.

possibly same here...btw, good playin with ya last night, Flounder...i hope you, Jedah, and i (maybe more) get to play together.

my favorite 2 modes right now are TDM and Capture...so addicting. :buttrock:

Good playing with you, too, man. I should be back on tonight. I agree that TDM and Capture are really fun, as can be Sneaking Missions.

im about to go on right now, and then again later tonight...i feel sneaking missions are only fun sometimes... my least favorite, but most interesting mode is the rescue missions...im not a big fan of "last man standing/SOCOM" rules...but its cool when you die and become a ghost and can make creepy haunting sounds and throw other ghosts around.

anyways, hope to play with ya and maybe Jedah too.

Yea, I've been a bit busy today. Just got done at a friend's wedding. I might be on later on and can't wait to get some games going.

Unfortunately my modded ps2 won't even recognize the internet adapter. Is it just my system, or is that just how it goes when your ps2 is modded?
