Anyone else pick this up?

So far I am enjoying it.

Music is rather nice too.

It's one piece of a lovely game.

They trimmed the engine right this time, and now the fighting sistem is way, way way more tight IMHO.

Graphic is uber nice as well. :)

This game is one of the reasons why I'm getting a DS.

I'll be playing it in May when the DS Lite comes out though.

I'm not sure I like the way the enemies bounce around after you knock them down, but the twin-weapon system is pretty nice, as are other aspects.

I'm only a couple of hours in to be honest, but enjoying it a lot.

So which Mana game in the series is CoM DS most similar to, system, content, etc?

I mean I was thrilled at how Secret of Mana played on SNES, but was quite let down with Sword of Mana.

I really wanted it but I think I'll wait for the domestic release.

Probably by the same attention disorder that allowed you to miss the numerous hints in this thread that they're talking about the Japanese release.

My fault ... I didnt read everyones post fully. I skimmed over them to see if they were talking about Seiken Densetsu DS but must have mist it. I just got excited and freaked out.

[edit]
Personally since I can't read a lick of Japanese I'd much rather wait for the US release so that I can actually enjoy the story line and understand what is going on rather than following a walkthrough.

Anyone still playing this?

I'm about 9 hours in and finding it all a bit meh.

Story - so far just the usual stuff. Catastrophies and some power crazy guy.

Characters - nothing overly interesting

Dialogue - really predictable stuff. Just there to explain the story, and that isn't overly complex

Action - pretty straightforward with little challenge and plenty of repetition

Sub Quests - great, provided you like going back to locations you have already been to, tasked with destroying all the monsters again and again and again.

On the plus side the music and visuals are very nice.

I think two of the Famitsu reviewers gave this a 10/10. I'm starting to think there is some truth in the rumour that Famitsu are in Square Enix's pocket.
