can't wait :glee:

p.s. I think it would've looked better with intricate sprite and parallax scrolling background work on CPS3 or Hyper Neo-Geo 64, instead of polygons. but that won't stop me from getting PSP GnG :glee:

Looks good in pics but looks kinda bland in motion. Ill try it out though before I make a official decision.

Looks pretty cool.

Sucks it's only for the PSP, since I have no plans to ever buy one. :(

EDIT : I probably would pick up a PSP if I could find one for around $100.

Seems like the new Capcom trend is to port your classics over to PSP and update the games with polygon graphics and audio voice overs(Megaman X Maverick Hunters, Megaman Power Up, Ultimate Ghouls N' Ghost).

This new GnG installment looks interesting. I'm hoping it plays just like the original in the Arcade and Genesis. My favorite Gn'G weapon is the daggers. Dual Arthur's baby!:buttrock:

UG'nG is a brand new game actually.

Some of the stages look familiar, but others are brand new from what I remember.

There are a lot of new gameplay elements as well.

Ahhh why isn't it so? The G+G series needed a 2d update to stick to the roots--it already had it's 3d fun in Maximo...

Screenshots look decent enough, but decidedly way more low poly count than what I would've liked. Hopefully the final product will look awesome in motion....

Feeling the pinch... that UGnG game looks phenomenal. Looks 2.5D too.

I'll probably rebuy the PSP sometime down the road when I know a good quantity of good games exist for it. For now though... I'll keep that $250 I spent on it in the bank account accruing tiny bits of interest. Its better than not using the damn thing.

Well, I'm going to buy it. But the polygon thing is definitely a turn-off, as has been stated numerous times.

And speaking of PSP 2D gaming...WTF is up with the Ys game? They said it was "traditional hand-drawn" artwork, but it looks like really crappy polygon models to me.

Am I blind or what?

The new Famitsu has a bunch of new screens for this, including info that Arthur has (at least) four different types of armour, each one more powerful than the other. The demon armour looks cool

I'm getting pretty tempted by this game. What with this, and the new Silent Hill PSP game, it may be time to put the cash down for a PSP. Just have a feeling SONY are going to reveal a price drop and redesign soon...

I think the NSMB look would have been better here.

Hell, the Donkey Kong Country look would have worked better, but how it plays is the key. Can't see myself getting it though, I just rebought Lumines, that ought to keep me busy.

Anyone wanna buy a JP white PSP, almost new:glee:

Although the grass does not compare with the CPS1 original. :kekeke:

On the subject, the game looks great and should be fun to play.

looks awsome! I don't understand the need for the 3D sprites though, the gameplay looks completely 2D, not even 2.5D like Nights. too bad it won't work on 1.5 firmware. However I did get Gradius Portable working on my system, so there is hope for me yet.

From what I see, I think the 3d is a good desision in alot of parts. It looks to add nice visual touches. Sure maybe the character in 2d ala Castelvania:SOTN would have been a little nicer but over all I like the turn the new game is taking.

Over all I think this game will give the series a good boost & do to it what SOTN did to castelvania series.

This and a couple other PSP games are reasons to own a PSP for me.

Can't wait to play this.

I'm really liking the quality of this game.
