An excellent little title this game is.

Gameplay is a great combination of platforming and puzzle-solving with a large emphasis on level exploration instead of simply getting from "Point A" to "Point B."

It's quite a challenge too.

It certainly lends a reminder to the old school platformer days where you're challenged enough to the point that despite dying multiple times at specific area, you'll want to keep on playing until you get passed it (although it never comes to that really frustrating "smash-your-controller-in-a-fit-of-rage" point.)

The boss battles are very well done as well.

They really have a sort of Gunstar Heroes kind of feel to them (Treasure does boss battles right, so you know that's a compliment.)

Graphics are a bit too cute for my tastes, but the sprites are bright and beautiful and the character creations and overall design is quite original and certainly gets the job done.

Oddly enough, it also sports a "Rumble Feature"--which really packs quite a punch when you play it on a GBA Micro.

It's certainly not a selling point, but I'm always surprised by how much rumbling actually adds to a game.

Overall though, I think more people need to head out and pick this game up, because it's easily in my top five list of favorite GBA games to date.

Haha, I just made a thread asking about DD last night.
I have an urge to buy it now.

I agree...it is a fantastic game. I did prefer the Japanese name (Screw Breaker) but I can see why they changed it for the USA. It is a very good game getting very good reviews.

I actually browsed this forum before posting this to see if anyone had made a thread about it and I didn't see a damn thing...

Chalk it up to me being an idiot who can't browse a forum properly.

Drill Dozer is definitly the best game I have played this year.

The boss battles are just fantastic, the level design is top notch too, but the game is worth a pick up just for the boss battles alone.

I'm looking foward to the next non-pokemon game GameFreak comes out with.

Got it yesterday along with a handful of SNES games; additional thumbs-up vote here.

It's nice to see good GBA software still coming out.
