Does anyone know what the real reserve is?

I'm well up for buying that lot - but I need to know the reserve so I can put in an appropriate bid.

Someone please tell me!!!!

No doubt. For the current price ($2,800) you could get all the carts in MVS plus a 6 slot plus have enough left over for a kick ass New Years bash. And the reserve has not been met yet.

Happy bidding.

Up to $5000 now, and reserve still isn't met.

I'm guessing reserve is at least $8k-$10k, considering the condition of the carts. This is the kind of auction that makes it tough for me to maintain my position that Neo merchandise is too expensive, and hold off until the fad dies down.

I really want that stuff

Fuckin ridiculous...

You'd have to be out of your mind to cough up the kinda coin they'll be askin'. Although if you were some newfound millionaire and you instantly wanted to have an insanely tough to find collection, there you'd go...instant elite collection. Sheet.

why do you people moan about the prices of neo home carts?? Neo Geo has and always will be an expensive console to buy for. Why don't you buy cd games or mvs carts and shut the fuck up moaning when people want to pay high prices for rare games.

You want cheap gaming buy a fuckin dreamcast or something and fuck off this forum you whining pricks!!

'Cause it's a FORUM, dumbfuck. A PLACE FOR DISCUSSION. I'm sure your elite British vocabulary contains that word. Right now this scene is basically at the mercy of a precious handful of individuals who due to their connections would like nothing more than jack prices as high as possible. Yes, it is the market but then again that why forums like this exist. To discuss why this may or may not suck. You want people to quit complaining about collectors prices, fine. But don't expect a flak free ride, especially on this board.

God you people just don't get it do you!!

Anything that is made in small quantities is gonna be expensive and become rare.
Just because you newbies come along and decide that the Neo Geo is cool you all of a sudden want cheap rare games??

Why didn't you buy these games when they were released?? Becuase you hadn't heard about SNK then and you've decided to jump on the band wagon like all the rest of these new members asking for Metal Slug 1 AES and Kitzuna Encounter!! Fuckin idiots. So if you found a gullable seller you didn't know what he was selling like a MS1 home cart for $200 you wouldn't try and sell it on for $1000??

Think about it for long enough dick head and it will finally click i'm sure.

Who cares about this auction anyway, since it is a "bourgeois only"!
This is especially the sort, which make me hate capitalism!

Let this be for those fucking "Oh, I can buy anything!" millionaires!

But there is one question bothering me:

What exactly is the use of a "reserved price"?

If I want certain amount paid, I put in as minimum. Maybe it is not attractiv to viewers, but it only counts who is willing to pay. All this bidding below a reserved price is just playing around. "Vojeur shit!"
Maybe some people jerk while watching it!

This reserve price would only make sence, if it had not been reached and the bidder still has the chance of buying it for the bidded price (if the seller is agreeing of course)!

let's not accuse people of selling perfect copy converted games... especially when the same seller has joked about it publicly.

I think the auction price is about to exceed the sanity limit (I put that at $7000). Maybe Tonk will win it... He'd have to sell that MS1 he just got first though...

Fran and DJ Hov are right.

DJ Hov knows exactly what he is talking about he had probably the best collection of aes carts in the UK, in the mid nineties..... back at the end of 1997, I found out he was selling about 60 aes carts.

Yeah, they were all there, Blazing Star,Metal Slug 1, Pulstar,Viewpoint, Wheroes Perfect, etc etc.

I decided to buy one and paid out the most I had ever paid for a video game at the time £120(US$190) for....a mint condition US.......Ultimate 11!!!!! I really thought long and hard about paying such an extravagant sum for a video game.......I played it for 2-3 days, and soon discovered what a fuckwit I'd been buying such a third rate game........a few months later, long after the aformentioned cart had been consigned to the back of the games cupboard......I praised the lord when I was able to sell it for £65 to the Bournemouth Video Game Centre and splash out for a metal slug 2 cd...........knowing now what that ultimate 11 cart costs now, and how much a metal slug 2 cd costs, do i feel stupid?.........do I feel like the guy who went to school with Jennifer Lopez and turned her down for a date.......do I feel like an arcade operator who in 1985 decided to have 30 Space Invaders cabinets throwen out because "they take up too much space"...... do I feel like a complete arse.........No...Hell NO!!!!!! Ultimate 11 is still a shit game.........its only the hoarding filth like Adol and Dion who charge extortionate rates who are respoinsible for the present malady on aes prices.....the bottom line has become put up or shut up.....yeah a lot of people want to buy these games....theres nothing wrong with that.....its a hobby after all...and most hobbies involve wanting something you dont have.....but the fact is check ebay you can easily pick up pulstar or kizuna encounter on mvs for $30....you can buy an mvs shockbox off BigBear for $6......then just get someone to scan the insert to you......just go down staples and get a copy made using 120 glossy paper.....and you will have a mint insert....and lo and behold you have a aes cart for a fraction of the cost.

Personally I thing a red and white shock box with a insert looks much better than the actual aes carts.....I put my aes carts alongside my mvs boxed ones...and decided to just get rid off the aes ones.....
Me and Andy did this,we went down staples with his metal slug 3, KOF 99, and Sengoku inserts and i had em copied....

But its no use bitching because, if anyone had a ultimate 11 aes now....and knew it could fetch US$1000 do you think it would be smart to sell it for $200???

Damn, Hov and Fran you guys are some really easily riled little wads. Maybe its because you guys even have a hard time justifying such expensive purchases in your own minds, so when anyone else comes on here questioning this kind of pricing, your reactions are swift, angry and defensive.
"Shut up you tools! You're a whiner! Newbie! These games are a work of art! Fuck off if you can't afford 'em!". FYI, I've been a Neo fan ever since I dropped $10 the first time I saw a 4-slot MVS machine filled with the 'launch lineup' of Magician Lord, Nam-75, Top Players Golf and Ninja Combat back in 1990. I bought my first AES about a year later, and hung with it a long time until college expenses forced me to ditch it in the mid-90's. So no, I don't have the 'leet' pedigree and collection you guys have. I only got back into the homecart hobby about two years ago, realizing how unsatisfying the current batch of consoles was. So I love the Neo just as much as you fools do. Don't bash someone just because they question the wisdom of blowing four figures on a pile of old video games. Your reactions are just a little overblown, man. Take a fuckin chill pill.

PS- If anything could symbolize the absolute retarded, knee-jerk neurotic state of the inflated AES market, it would be the clown prince of NG.com trolls 'TonK' winning this muthafuckin auction.
