About to pick up three Pacman pinball machines, hope to get one goodie going from the 3. There will be a lot of work involved.
I have done some searching but unable to find a pinball tech related site.
There are 4 PCBs, Squalk & Talk sound board which is common in pins, a logic board and two driver boards (one for the counter leds and the other for solenoids)
A wiring diagram would be good- any ideas.

I've fixed a couple but it's been a long time...

You'll probably end up putting new rubber bumpers in, cleaning lots of contacts on the playfield, and resoldering all the connectors on the circuit boards....

As for troubleshooting, there are common problem areas like power supplies, burnt solenoids & fried transistors, battery leakage, etc... that tend to plague pinball games. Also look for cooked boards from heat.

I've worked on a few mid 90's pinballs...some of the most popular ones too(Addams Family, Twilight Zone, Termiantor 2, Star Trek Next Gen). Also worked on Judge Dredd, and a somewhat rare Capcom pinball(Breakshot).

I use to own Baby Pac-Man (it use to be in my old game store) but I sold it to a friend of mine. (He currently owns two of these)

Anyway...they both held up pretty well but had some minor problems with targets, ball getting stuck near the top ect. One of the units had some minor screen issues, but for the most part they both worked pretty well.

Baby Pac's are very unreliable. Even new out of the box many had issues.

Yes...that is what I have heard, although the two I have owned/played worked pretty well. I thought that there were only around 7000 made.

The one that my friend picked up was being sold working but for parts to make an existing Baby Pac-Man better. He got that one for under 200 and it was in very good shape and actually worked better than mine.
