I need some help finding a piece of hardware which seems to not exist in the US. I have 2 sanwa joysticks and want to mount them in my wooden cabinet. The only problem is the joystick shaft is too short. I can extend the shaft with what is called a standoff (like PC motherboard mounts). I can find these no problem in US hardware stores, except there is one problem. The ones I can find are standard, not metric. If someone can help me I need 2, M6-1.0 20mm-40mm standoffs. These have a female socket that you can screw the shaft of the joystick into on one end, and the other end has a threaded rod where you could screw the joystick ball into. Someone please help! I'll reward you for your troubles.

Thanks,
Bill

I'm able to lay my hands on pretty much any size PCB spacer, but I just called the people and apparently they don't even make them in M6 variety. I reckon this may be a tall order.

Damn, this sucks. I've got these bad-assed sanwa joysticks and I can't use them unless I get the extender or rework my entire cab to have a metal panel instead of the wooden panel. I've got my father looking while he's in Norway over the weekend. Maybe he'll have luck there.

I know the make what I'm looking for because in the hardware store there is a display setup where you can measure your screw. They have the part I need in the display, but not for sale...
