I will be picking this up when it comes out. I just picked up the WiFi adapter and should have high speed before the release date.

This game is one of the main reasons I bought a DS. After so many delays, it's finally almost here.
I loved the demo....I can't wait for the full game.

I don't think the screenshots look very good, but when the game is running it looks sweet, and the sound is amazing too.

Can't wait for this one. My DS Lite should be in my hands on the 11th...

Are we looking at the same screens, 'cause this game looks like dogshit.

IF you're going to do another 3d metroid game, don't make it even remotely similar to the eye candy of Prime. (Even though I hate it.... it looks good). You only do the game a total disservice by having it as a cheap knockoff.

I'm really looking foward to this one, I hope battle mode rocks.

The dual screens seem to be used pretty well, I always had to pause/access maps constantly because I have the spatial awareness of a woman so I'm glad to see it used in that way.

The screenshots remind me of Doom for some reason.

quake 2 probably has the worst multiplayer out of the whole quake series, maybe not 4. who knows

but 1 + 3 were for multiplayer, 2 was for the single play.

MP: Hunters and I have been well acquainted the last couple of months(Software T. does that to you). I think people who are into FPS and the Metroid Prime series will be pleasantly surprised by this title.

This game will totally own on Wireless/Wi-Fi, that's a given. It's freakin unbelieveable for a "portable" FPS. The campaign mode is pretty good also. The pictures and videos don't do it justice. Looks a lot better in person. It's easily one of the best looking(even better with a Lite) and running portable FPS's out there.

Stylus Mode will be the closest experience you'll have to a mouse and keyboard. It works really well. I highly recommend it. Get ready March 20th because Prime goes portable.

*True* Metroid wrapped itself around a telephone pole a few years ago...

FPS != Metroid.

If they made the leap to 3d, it should've been like the ps2 castlevanias, the Primes are absolutely unplayable.

I finished Prime, just picked up Prime 2 because it was cheap and I figured *maybe* I was wrong about the first one.

I lasted 10 minutes, it's even worse the second time around.

This is just ridiculous cashing in on a great franchise. I was jonesing for an update after the N64 had no metroid presence, now I wish it would've just died with SM.

This game will suck, the primes suck and nintendo should be ashamed that they keep digging up their franchise horses and beating them ten years later.

Honestly man, I expected this.
This is really all you can contribute to any Metroid threads.
It's really old. Who cares? Everyone knows you don't like the direction the series took.

You made your point about three years ago.

Besides, plenty of other people like the first Prime game, and consider it as good as Super.

Myself included.

I don't.

Super Metroid is a fantastic game.

Metroid Prime is much better.

Having said that, mind, Super Metroid is better then Echoes...

Kid, ask anyone who's into quaking and FPS and they'll tell you quake 2 is the worst multiplayer out of the whole series, not my words, everyones.

rail guns only? oh .. . fantastic..

and , I like metroid prime, it captures the feel of super metroid etc very well, but in 3D, I dont see the problem, apart from its a bit innavigable at times.

I doubt I'll be picking this hunters up though at first, not into FPS any more. dead genre to me.

I have to agree with Kid A that Prime was incredible and Prime 2 was excellent as well. They easily blow away all of the 3d Castlevania games thats for sure. Shiieet.

Ok, can anyone tell me what was "amazing" or "ground breaking" in the hunters demo? It was washed out, blurry and hard to control.

As much as the DS annihilates 2d stuff and is absolutely stunning in titles like Castlevania and AC (low-end 3d), the real graphically challenging stuff looks like shit.

Don't get me wrong, I *really* want to like Hunters, I just can't. I will still purchase it to try it out.

@KidA

I'm not going to stop complaining about it, because I truly loved/love the series as a whole. Yeah, it's stupid fanboy shit, but it's a series I've loved from the very beginning and it pains me to see something I love get destroyed like that. I thought Fusion was OK... which for metroid is a complete letdown. Zero Mission was interesting for a little while, but ended up being subpar and really hit rock bottom with the "epilogue".

THe pinball title, on the other hand.... I'm not even going to come close to that thing.

It may seem like sacrilege to you, but the pinball title ended up being one of my favorite DS games. The physics and fast gameplay fucking rock man. It was just really really well made. Seemed like a retarded idea to me when I first heard of it, but I'm a sucker for videogame pinball and that game ended up being one of the best.

I have yet to finish Metroid Prime so I can't step into that debate.
I know I liked what I played so far...it just comes off like a Metroid-themed Jumping Flash!, and that's cool to me.

Super Metroid's still ridiculously great though. Glad I beat that last summer finally.

My take on the above issues:

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 were a good jump to 3-D, and had a good sense of Atmosphere.

Super Metroid far exceeds both games, and is arguably one of the best games of all time.

Metroid Pinball rocks, maybe not as a Metroid game, but certainly as a pinball game

Those screenshots of MPH didn't really impress me. If it runs smoothly I could go for it.

Quake 2 had awesome multiplayer. Back then if you were into PC games, like I was all you needed was that and Starcraft and you could have awesome LAN parties.

I beat Prime and really didn't enjoy it. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I just never got into it, yet still knew it was a good game and kind of forced myself to beat it, which I did. Then I sold it.

However, a few weeks ago I picked up MP2, and am loving it. Maybe my experience with MP helped me to know what to expect, but I am finding MP2 to be a very polished game, and I can't wait to fire it up again tomorrow. I'm about 45% in, and have all day tomorrow to play :) It has everything. Good challenge, great atmosphere, huge areas to explore, tough bosses that you actually have to learn before you can beat them, some decent puzzle elements, music that is much improved over the first game, and one of the most beautiful games I have yet to play. So far I really don't have much to fault this game on. The reappearing boxes bugged me a bit at first, but it's not a big deal.

Got a copy of Prime Hunters at work today. One of the few games i actually bought after testing. Usually don't go that route but this one was an exception.

It's a great game for it's single player campaign and Wi-Fi access(deathmatch). People who loved Prime should dig it. 2-D Metroid purists should give it a try too. Multiplayer is where it's really at. Watch out for my Samus & Imperalist combo if we ever meet. It's a headshot coming your way. hehe

God, i need a DS Lite. This game looks 10x better on it. Then again, so does everything else.
