For cell phones...
I think I finally have a reason to get an N-Gage...

It's also been mentioned on Kotaku and Gamespy...
Being able to downoad new cases monthly is frickin' awesome, and definitely a great idea and all (ironically enough, about 2 months ago someone on the GameFaqs forums had the exact same idea...), but not releasing the games for DS or even GBA in America is effing bullshit (although that hasn't been confirmed yet). Hell, they could even retain the ability to download new cases in a DS version since the system is capable of writing directly to cartridges.
I've heard a few rumors that the cost of the subscription is going to be somewhere between $2 - $5 and the service will only be available to Verizon customers, but I don't think that anything's been confirmed yet.
Hopefully the downloadable cases will actually have some sort of relevance to the game's story/characters (IE: the DL-6 case) and not just be some sort of generic Scooby Doo mysteries... What I mean is, there's a chance that the writing (as well as the art, since this is going to be on a cell phone) has a chance of diminishing.
Not being able to use a touch-screen for examing rooms, or items such as in the bonus case in the DS version of the game, or the 4th Gyakuten Saiban (I wonder what'll happen with that in America) is going to suck hard, but things could be worse I suppose.
Gyakuten Saiban 3 is being translated by fans though if that makes anyone feel better: http://comebackcourt.sourceforge.net/
Blah, blah, blah, randomly thrown together thoughts, blah blah.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney mobile game, for example, will offer users a new case to download and investigate each month.
As well, the division will capitalize on a "viral" component where the user can send a text message from within the gameworld to a friend. The message will invite that friend to download the game and, in this case, join the Phoenix Wright community of mobile gamers.
