Need help to ID a IC on Cads & Dino

Can someone out there help me out.

I was hacking my Cadillacs & Dinosaurs cps Q sound board and by mistake I completely broke off a IC leg on one of the 32 pins IC that is on the Q sound board. Its completely broken off, nothing to solder too. The Ic is named cd_q1. Its a mask rom so it doesn't have any other marking other than cd_q1 on it. What I need help doing is finding a eprom that has the same pinout and storage capacity I can burn with the correct rom and repair my board. Can anyone help?

A 27c4096 is a 40 pin device which can be used to replace the program mask rom on the rom board.

The chip that broke on my board is a 32 pin device which is located on the Q sound board.

Thanks, after researching this chip like crazy i discovered maybe a 27c040 might get the job done.

After researching your recommendation of a 27c4001, I discovered both the 27c040 & the 27c4001 are electrically identical. So I guess we both arrived at the same conclusion, so we can not both be wrong.

Thanks for your help, I'm going to burn that 27c040 and see what happens.
