Stupid rank whores w/ Ken & Chunners who can't actually play litter the fields.
Each and every one of them felt "teh Gigas" tonight. :kekeke:

On the downside, after moving to play Urien and Dudley, my skills have dropped. :crying:

I've had similar problems... can't beat Yun players with my Ibuki. Don't know how else to beat those types of players, since I can't really parry well online. :crying:

Pattern is real simple... they stick me in the corner somehow, activate SAIII, custom me to death. Can't win.

See I know you two can play, and thus my ass would indeed be grass since this is my first time playing in ages.

I'm still up for it though, I'll be online in a few minutes. :)

Your Ibuki is poetry, you'll find a way around Yun. Work the wake up game when he's down more

Yeah, Ibuki is brutal online if you know how to exploit the lag (there's always a little). Her recovery is minimal, startup times on most of her moves are extremely small, and she has great priority up close. For online play with Ibuki, get in close and poke away, and throw out the occasional super. For Yun, I'd probably try to rush him down and not allow him to sit back and build up meter for the genai. Should be doable with characters like Ibuki or Makoto, Hugo will have a tough time though.

I feel your pain on this one..... the thing i hate the most of his is his air med kick that arcs downward. I can NEVER parry it or if im in the corner i never can seem to block it.

Yun is a short character, so he and Chun Li can avoid Ibuki's standing jabs, which is a large percentage of her poke games. What I'm reduced to is jumping straight up to keep him from doing dive kicks... but once he locks me down after connecting (even blocked strings), it's really hard to get him off. Thanks cam, I'll keep working on knocking down Yun and keeping him from diving at me all day, but it's hard when I can't really uppercut-kick on Live. All I know is that I try to stay in the middle of the playing field as much as possible, because I'm dead if he's anywhere near the corner... even when he's the one trapped in the corner.

I'll try to play later tonight or this weekend... I'd love to play you guys again. Especially cam, Wes and galfordo. Don't think I've ever played you on Live, JHendrix... add me to your list.

Yep, a good Yun player is murder online. Dive kick is parryable but is not always worth it due to the guessing game of the arc. I only say work the wake up hard because his only safe move is an EX kick and no one wants to burn their precious Genei meter. Never knew her jab was useless on Yun, ouch. So forget the pokes and always work the knockdown if you can. FWIW

Oh and my advice against Urien players......stay your ass in the corner :drool_2:

See you guys online soon hopefully

I've dropped my Urien as a competative character and now I'm just going to use Yang and guess who....... MAKOTO. So when I play you guys online don't expect to get the best match of your life because i'm training my Makoto to be my no. 1 character in this game since I can't get the hang of Urien and Yang is too limited for me despite me liking his style so much.

MAKOTO FOR THAT ASS!!!! HOOOORYA!!! see you bitches online.

Yeah, good games as always man. If they make SFAC backwards compatible for the 360, that'll seal the deal for me.

Well, Kendong Beat the living shit outta me with total and complete ease. Those were good games, Maybe not for you cuz you whooped the fuck out of me with no challenge but they were good for me cuz I don't know how to use Makoto and now I have a much better idea on what I need to work on.

good game

p.s.The next person that plays me can pretty much expect to win every round cuz I'm only gonna pick Makoto, nonstop. I refuse to pick anybody else now.

I have 3S for my DC, is it worth getting the XB version for online play alone? I mean, how's the lag?

I heard the dc port has alot of problems but im not sure what they are.
I would say yes its worth getting for xbl alone. Out of all the fighters i played its the best in the lag department. The thing is if you play online the only people who reall play are the pros and it can be quite frustrating playing them and when you run into the new players they useally drop when you beat them down( pretty much a hell of alot of people drop ) anyways you can get sfac pretty cheap these days and its well worth it.

p.s. send me a freind request @ excalibear if you wanna play

Makoto has a pretty steep learning curve, but she is one bad bitch. I've been practicing her combos for a few months now, and I still don't have them straightened out yet.

Anyway, watch some vids of that guy "J" from Japan - pretty sick shit. There's NOTHING like watching a bad mofo rush down with Makoto - truly great shit.

Are the "pro's" really good on live? Im like a level upper 5000 or so, which is nothing to brag about. I beat this guy that was ranked level 5, which is really high up there. I beat him in 2 games and almost killed him in the other 2 games we played. Like we each had like no life left. I'm not that great at the game, I'm pretty noob to it and don't really know any combos. I hope there is some good competition on there. Usually the lower levels kick my ass...I dunno...maybe the guy was just taking it easy with me.

I stopped playing Live a few months ago when the US version came out since the game got laggy all of a sudden.

If you guys wanna watch my Makoto, send me a PM, we'll arrange something. It's been a while, I'm probably a bit rusty, but I can most likely still do some serious damage with her.

Makoto stun rushdown > all. :)

I especially loved playing shitty little Akumas, stunning them to death, and watch them whine. Throws in 3s are valid.

And you guys are right, her learning curve is rather steep, but it's much easier than, say, Q or Hugo. You just have to learn her dash distance, all her good pokes and crazy karakusa combos (which you almost can't do online anyway due to lag).

100% Makoto combos > life itself :buttrock:

Q and Hugo are both difficult characters, but for a different reason. Mostly because you have to rely on parrying and tons of patience to do damage with them. For me personally, I've found that Makoto's combos are some of THE most difficult to pull off consistently.

Karakusa -> fierce -> super always gives me problems for some reason, even after quite a bit of practice.
