I have an unusual situation.
I had a working 4slot MVS in my college dorm working in the fall.
After Christmas break I decided to start playing again recently. When I initially booted up I noticed that a chip was loose...it was my (EURO?) BIOS. I re-inserted it into the holder which was extremely snug (how did it fall out to begin with?). another try at boot up failed, and then I realized I inserted the BIOS in reverse, which I then corrected.
As it stands now the system behaves the same whether or not a cartige is present: it displays a random set of squares and "sparkles" in low level purples, blues and browns. Would I just need to replace the BIOS with one from back home or is my system fucked?
It did cross my mind that University room inspectors fucked it up by stepping on it or something.
