Hey, all,
Well, my financial destitution continues, so here are some of my beloved comics collection up for grabs. Every book here is a hardcover, and with the exception of Goldfish, all of them are off-the-shelf condition. All prices include shipping in North America. Sorry if this is a touch high, but these suckers are heavy, man. Anyway, here they are:
Goldfish, the classic Brian Michael Bendis crime noir story, in the limited edition Image hardcover. The sticker on this is $49.99..! I'll let it go for $30, as one of the corners has taken a bit of a hit.
Next up is Incredible Hulk, vol. 1, by Bruce Jones and John Romita jr. This collects the beginning of Jones's run on the book, which was popular for a reason. JRJR is really at the top of his game on this one. As a bonus, it has the miniseries 'Banner,' by Brian Azarello and the legendary Richard Corben at the back. I'm tempted not to sell this on the merit of the bonus story alone, but instead I'll sell it for $20. *sigh*
I also have Maximum Fantastic Four, which is an oversized hardcover collecting Fantastic Four #1, the comic that started the Marvel age. The panels are blown up, showcasing Jack Kirby's magnificent art, and there's additional commentary on the work's importance. Best of all, the dust jacket folds out into a replica of the cover! Awesome. I'll be sorry to see this one go, too, but I can let it go for $35.
Last up are two Kabuki hardbacks by David Mack. The finest example of comics as art, Kabuki is probably unlike anything I've ever read or seen, in comics or otherwise. I have volume 5, 'Metamorphosis,' and volume 6, 'Scarab.' I'll let 'em go for $35 and $15 respectively, or $45 for the pair.
If you want more than one, I can cut you a break on the prices, as implied with the Kabuki deal.
Anyway, I hope someone sees something they like here. I hummed and hawed forever about whether I should sell these, but I find that I really don't have much choice about it. As I said, all are hardcover, and all are in great shape except Goldfish. Sadly, prices don't include PayPal fees if you go that route.
Thanks for looking.
