Mine should be arriving soon, as my friend shipped it out over the weekend (From Japan).

Mine is in the mail as well. Some people over at the Gamefaqs boards are saying that the control is off and there is really bad slow down in some places, so that kind of sucks. I am not suprised about the controls as Special Stage aslo had control issues. The game was really designed to be played with a wheel. Also by early accounts it looks like Akina Snow is not in the game, which also sucks...

Unless it is some super secret level buried deep in the game, than it's not there. There are several people who are almost finished with the game and no one has found it yet. It's a damned shame because that is easily the best track in Third Stage...

Well, I was shopping with my friend downtown and we came across a import shop that had the game in stock. I pick it up as I have no clue when it's going to arrive and I'm impatient.

Anyways, I've logged about 4 and a half hours on the thing and its great! Dont worry about the controls, it just take a few races to get use to. It plays liek the PS2 version if any of you have played it.

I'm almost finished LoTS (I just have to beat bunta)and I STILL don't have a full tuned car. This card system is going to make you play forever...It's totally at random unless I'm missing something :rolleyes:

I have not played vs. as I had to go to class right afterwards.

I'll tell you how that goes when I meet up with him on the weekend.

But in all, I have to say that this is a MUST BUY for any ID fan...

I have seen some screen shots of this game and it looks pretty good. I have never played the PS2 version.

Is there a racing game out there that this game plays like? Is it more of an arcade racer or sim?

According to play-asia it's based on the arcade street stage 3 version. Which I actually played recently at a Namco arcade (:emb: ), definitely an arcade racer as far as controls. Drifting was extremely easy.

Arcade racer, quite similar to Ridge Racer really.

For those who like to know, it requires 2.60 firmware.

Is there any gameplay differences between the Asian ver over the Japanese Ver.?

Nope...Nothing...and the Asian version is cheaper AND comes with a english manual that's actually usefull...

Do all of the Asian versions come with the wrist strap? I ordered mine from Lik-Sang..and It diddn't show the strap with it. I did pre-order it also. Just wondering

I ordered 2 and picked up one from my local shop and they ALL had phone straps with them...
