Anybody know anything about this title?

Try it/play it/like it?

I need a reason to hold on to my PSP and this looks like it might be interesting, like beatmaina is all I've heard.

Reminds me of Osu! Takae! Quendan! It's not a learning curve; it's a learning MOUNTAIN.

I'm a fan of music games, however I am pretty much a noob when it comes down to it. I bought the game and am having a blast with it. It sure is tough though, but the amazing music makes it worthwhile. It surely something to give a try if you are looking for a good PSP game.

Got my copy lastnight, and I must say that I am very impressed by this neat little gem. As many of you have already mentioned,DJ Max is very similar to other rhythm-based game such as Beatmania, but with a slightly steeper learning curve. I'd recommend playing this game with a good set of headphones for maximum enjoyment, since the tracks are actually pretty decent (I'm nodding my head to one of the tunes as we speak).

This game has high production value (be sure to check out the animated intro).

I think its easier than beatmania though, since you can pretty much 'fumble' your way out of the harder parts of the song. Its like if there's one blue bar coming, if you press that blue bar and another different bar accidentally, the game will not penalize you. But yeah, game features many tough songs..

Anyway, its one of the best games for the PSP IMO.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought when I first saw the animated intro. Word on the 'fumbling' tactics, also :D

Seriously,I am having alot of fun with this game. For those of you who are on the fence about picking this up,go for it!

I got the game a few months ago when it came out..

Love it, except I suck.. :)

I loved Ouendan though, and finished it on insane. It's not that hard compared to most Beatmania-type music games, and certainly is much easier than DJ Max..

The soundtrack is AMAZING though. I never knew K-POP could be that good :)

Super ostentatiously late to the party, having just bought DJ Max Fever for the PSP. After watching a few online videos I was attracted to the game because of the track list (trance, j-pop, hip-hop, jazz, etc), but I was concerned that it would be too difficult. 4-button, level seven tracks are borderline tough, so I can imagine it only gets worse from there. However, I was happy to find that (like Rock Band 2's "no fail" mode) the game allows you to press any button for any note that needs to be played, so all that's needed is good timing rather than accurate button presses.

Even with that casual-gamer feature DJ Max Fever is still seriously difficult. But your efforts are rewarded as the game has an rpg-ish feature in that you earn gold to purchase various unlockables, such as note panels, note gifs, more tracks to play, etc. If you like rhythm/music games even the slightest bit, I highly recommend you give this title a try. It makes Elite Beat Agents for the DS seem like an exercise in boredom.

The game is pretty relentless at first, but it does becomes a little bit easier as you practice. When comparing it to Elite Beat Agents, the learning curve is much more comparable to Beatmania on cocaine. I've been hoping for a DS or Smartphone release of DJ Max Technika though. I love that machine. It takes the best of both worlds and combines them into one game (thumping bass, melodic tunes, and a touchscreen).

adding Dpad down and X would make it 10 button. Maybe they removed the fever option? 8 button is hard enough already! Clazziquai edition is my fav mix so far. Cant wait for 3!
