Hey,

I haven't been here in a long time and for whatever reason just got back into Neo Geo.

Anyway I really want to consolise an MVS.
I think a 2 slot would be fine but I wouldn't pass up a 1 slot or 4 slot.

anyway what are some advantages of the different versions of the MVS unit?

wasent the newest 1 slot really easy to use becuase it has controller ports and some other stuff built right in?

please help me out here.

well I looked around and Kinda figured some stuff out.

but now my question would be Where do you get a Harness? the part that would conect to the MVS. I found info on how to make a pinout but no info on were you would buy just the harness(i think its called the harness?)

and also how would you wire it up for S video?

If you want a nice 2 slot mvs consolized system...talk to kpj .www.neotropolis.net .His work is outstanding.or you can contact D-Lite.If you wish to do it on your own,you can still ask them.

The 2-slot is the best for consolising because it has all controller ports, headphone sockets, volume controls and a memory card reader. This is what most people choose. Have a look at hardmvs.com for more info.

I think you can get a Jamma harness from Bob Roberts and if you want s-video you will need a video converter board. Neobitz and Jrok are the most popular I think, although you're probably better off asking someone on the other side of the pond because us Brits don't need s-video, we have nice RGB scart TVs :D

Agree with Adamaki,
2-Slots are great to consolize, you've also got the advantage of a memory card reader and front mounted joystick ports, as well as a nice area to paint and look purdy :p
4-Slots are pretty decent but have a top and bottom board and some have side-mounted joystick ports, so for near hassle free gotta be the 2-slots

Dude - I would suggest you buy one as you don't seem to know too much about Neos / AV stuff.

The mvs outputs pure RGB video.

If you want anything else, please follow that link to Neobitz and you will find how RGB can ---> Component video etc

Unless you are pretty handy, you may well trash $300 worth of kit trying to make a working MVS unit.

I bought a consolized 1 slot MV-1FZ from KPJ and he did a great job as well as being extremely professional. Definitely worth the $$.
