Never seen one of those before.

Where did you find it, mate?

I was browsing quarterarcade.com MVS listing
"We're not sure what this board is, it is from a Neo Geo game, the original part number is A8002-3. Boardset is very clean, but untested and sold as-is."

They are selling it for $15.00

http://www.quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/5890

they have it listed as being from a neogeo cab ? Its like nothing I have seen in a MVS cab before ?

Im starting to think it is an interface between light guns and the main board.

But why the fairly high current psu circuit on board ?

What are those two 4 pin devices side by side ?

Looks like SR-SIDD502P

I checked the Beast Busters manual and it doesn't show that board, at least not one with the same part number. What about an Irritating Maze cabinet? Maybe it powers the air blast or something?

Isn't that the inverter board that goes between a motherboard and the marquee light-up panels? (forgot what they're called off the top of my head)

<beavis> Ooooohhhh yeaaaahhhh. Thank you, drive through. </beavis>

Thanks for that correction. It's what happens when I wake up and post when the morning caffine hasn't kicked in yet. (Although in my defense I don't actually own an original big red cabinet, and so have never seen one of those boards in person.)
