just like the title says, where do I tap for RGB in a top loading cd?

Uhhmmmm...how about the 8 pin din on the back of the machine.

It uses the same pinout as the AES.

Does the CD use a CXA chip?

If so, I'd consider taking it off of that..... USE the Output Pins for the colors and Input for the SYNC
