Thinking about picking this up. Any thoughts or opinions?

I love it. It has a kind of mission mode that I found very difficult but the actual game itself is great. Nice graphics, beautiful music and not too difficult but not too easy. I bought mine for $20 and was happy. A must for any shooter fan with a DS.

$20? Where?

Or was that in Tokyo?

I have looked locally and I swear I have only seen one place with it and they wanted something like $40 for it.

I'm told it is Iridion III, which is basically milquetoast.

It would have been Iridion III, I assume, if not for the desire to move away from that (rightfully) negative connotation.

I got a copy for $30 new, and it's a pretty solid little game. I don't like using the touch screen to change weapons, but the basic gameplay is solid and the graphics are nice.

I'd say pick it up, given the relative lack of 2-D shooters on the DS.

It was a Toys R Us back in Canada just before christmas. I found them here in tokyo but they are still like $40.

Thanks for the input. There's one used at a Gamestop near me for 20.

Good game! A little short and easy...not "hardcore" or anything. But a fun light shmup. I liked Iridion 2, this is better.

Iridion II>>>>NS

The forced weapon change using the touch screen is balls, and it just felt really short..it's OK, nothing more. The Challenges are crazy, though, good luck. It's what made me come back.

Disappointment overall, but not bad. 7/10.

When I went there to get it yesterday it was gone. :crying:

A little off topic, but speaking of hard to find DS games, has anyone been able to get a hold of a Rub Rabbits? Both Gamestops by me didn't get one in at all, and game rush sold out. It being this hard to find almost makes me want it more. :kekeke:

I received my Rub Rabbits last week and it is fantastic. Much better than Feel the Magic IMO. I have heard that there was a mix up with GameStop regarding this game and that is why there are some delays. Anyway...it is a great game.

Glad to hear it's a winner. Being the DS fanboy that I am, I'll have to track one of these down.

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I picked up a used copy today for $20 and it is a great game so far.

bought when it first came out still play it occasionally, in my opinion it's a very good shooter, not quite as good as my 2 favorites (life force and raiden) but I actually like it more than ikaruga (not to say I don't like ikaruga)
better use of 20 to 30 dollars then the craptastrify that is Chaos Field

Better than Ikaruga? It must be pretty badass.

I am a big shooter fan and this game bores the shit out of me. It's not bad, really, just not special in any way. It has nice graphics for the system's capabilities, but I barely play it and I've had it since it came out -- I'd much rather go for Gradius Galaxies, or the newer Gradius Portable collection for shooters on the go.

Just picked up a copy a couple of days ago and it's not too bad. It sucks that you can change the button setup and the touch screen used to switch your weapons isn't my favorite, but all in all a fun little game and a game that should be picked up for the DS.
