Just ordered a DS Lite

As of today in Japan it would seem that there are no clear cut order forms for shops to place DS Lite orders with the suppliers, but the vibe is that there should be enough to go round despite the fact that there will be a huge demand. Nintendo seem to have announced that 1,000,000 units will be shipped for the launch, but my local shop seem to think that is an optimisitic figure.

Bear in mind that most shops don't even have the standard DS available because Nintendo haven't supplied enough. Therefore there will be a backlog of people waiting for a DS, plus the people out there that specifically want a DS Lite.

Looking forward to getting my hands on one.

Just my local private game store. She always keeps things, 'behind the counter', for me, and I get the stuff on the day before official release too.

Im very interested to hear if the brightest setting on the the new DS is any brighter than the current model's one setting.

Way brighter, I would say. ;)

I just sold my DS in advance of getting the Lite, and the woman at my friendly neighbourhood store told me that even the supplies of the white DS Lite could be less than expected to a lot of manufacturing problems. Apparently there are quite a few faulty units coming off the production lines.

Just what she said. Make of it what you will. As long as she gets my navy unit for the 11th I don't care.

I've been going to a lot of shops here in Japan and they are either not taking any more preorders or never will. Somehow I have doubts I will be getting my hands on one on the 11th.
