I'm just wondering... On any 2-light panel, I've seen either 1/2, or 2/2 for labelling. Is it always like this where half of the setup would be for the two slot machines, or is there a 1/1 panel somewhere?

It's late and I'm beat/tired... :(
I think you are asking if 1 bulb panel exists..(me tired can't read straight).

((half of a 2-light panel
I've never seen a single panel..it's usually the 2-light panel that I come accross.
........I think I have a 2-light sized panel but it's made to hold only one bulb-light ..for a 1 slot cab..
I guess it could be cut in half..

Say cut this in half

...not quite what I'm asking, but that would be interesting to know as well. you see how your panel has 1/2 below the sticky foam? on the other panel, would be a 2/2, and it should only have a single connector for power/signals... I'm asking if there is a panel made specifically for 2-slot cabs. The six slot cabs, I know have two three light panels... if it be the case, was snk ever planning to make a 3-slot mobo?

I don't think SNK used the EL panels in the 2 slot cabs. I have a Big Red 2 slot and it has the flourescent tub light in it as does the mini 2 slot red.

I know someone who has a gold cab. It has a 1/2 panel in it (which I think is kind of odd seeing as it has the connector for the second panel).

I could of swore I had a 1-1 ....I think I sold it as it's not in my pile of these panels..
(I could be totally wrong)
As I remember it had one bulb on it was a 1-1 board with only 1 connection on the back for the "in" plug connection whereas a 1-2 will have two parts-plus in back that wired Molex plus are plugged into..(to connect two panels together )(I could be totally wrong and never had it. :loco: )

I sold a working bulb on a panel awhile back and I'm figuring it was that one..it was sold to be used in a 1 slot cab.

I've yet to come across a 3-2 panel..for a 6 slot..(hold up now,is it called 3-2 or 2-3(what number is for what)
Thing is:..the 2-2 panel has only a in plug in spot that plugs into 1-1..nothing to plug another board into/2-3-3-2
I don't even know if they made an actual third panel for a 6 slot cab though,I've seen these light panels in 6 slot cabs but I'm not sure on the line up....(trying to peek into a half open marquees door on a six slot cab at and Auction)

I need to ask a six slot owner./gets picks

I went and lined up some panels..IMO the only way "I" could set-up for a 6 slot cab is lining up a :
From right to left 1-2.........1-2......2-2..
Plug into from the right side..

The usual set-up for a 4 slot

MV-ELD LCD Panels - Back

But then I just found this at Hard MVS(2 of these for a 6 slot)

MV-ELC LCD Panel

...................
As far as I know the only two slot cab that uses the 2 slot lighted MV-ELD LCD Panels is my Woody..Neo Gold....Both my lights work and it came set-up this way..with a 1-2 MV-ELD LCD Panel

I've yet to see a Big Red 2 slot cab using MV-ELD LCD Panel...mainly because most people just replace them with one big flourescent bulb..
You'd have to look in the cab for a lone driver MV-ELD LCD Panel wiring in a Big Red 2 slot to see if it originally came that way.(maybe finding the old holes the driver was held on with or the ties that held the wiring..

A Big Red 2 slot cab that has been changed to flourescent light might still have some MV-ELD LCD Panel wiring in it.

Looking at a two slot manual for a Big Red two slot I see MV-ELD LCD Panels within the wiring...Si I'm not sure..

well, from the sounds of it, the gold cabs came with the 1/2 panels (seeing as both yours and my friends' cabs have them). I had previously thought that snk had used 1/2 and 2/2 to say 1 of 2, or 2 of 2 meaning of a set of two, this is that one (which would make sense for a 4-slot big red (since they use two panels). On a 2-slot cab, however, it seems odd that they would use the panel with the connection to the other panel not connected up to anything... I'd think they'd just use a 2/2, and save the extra cost of the connectors... I'll have to go to my friends' place with my 2/2 board to see if it will work on it at all.
