Here's where my other thread left off and I figured I would get more responses over here....any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, I was wondering if I can get a higher res from my naomi setup on my monitor that runs 15-24-31 khz.
I can't find any type of vga input on the monitor....
can I get a higher res than standard through the jamma edge?
What are my options?
thanks!

standard and medium resolutions come from the jamma connector (though I don't think naomi supports medium res). High res comes from the vga connector.

Since my monitor can take 31khz through the jamma edge, if I split the signal somehow and routed it into the jamma edge via a home made adapter/connector, could it be displayed?
Would this even be possible with the vga signal?

Are you 100% sure that you're getting 31khz from the jamma connector? To my knowledge, the 31khz resolution needs more than the standard 5 wires to display.

if i remember right, jamma is RGB + composite sync + GND
where VGA is RGB + GND + H sync + V sync. so VGA has two sync inputs

I've split the sync before....could I ccombine them instead? I'll search the monitor better tonight and see what I can see.
